Our pooch who is allergic to everything was suffering from severe allergies -skin irritations that left him with scabs and large patches of no hair, poor baby. Vet was really attentive, she spent a lot of time with us and examining our dog. She offered solutions and alternatives. It was really great to see a vet who was knowledgeable and who cared. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you Yelpers, your reviews made us change vets. Our only wish was that we moved sooner!!

I am new to CA and visited for the first time today. When I called this morning the receptionist was able to squeeze me in, which I appreciated. I saw a very nice, young vet (Dr Zinn) who professionally and efficiently cared for my cat (abscessed wound). Dr Zinn took the time to explain what she was doing and also clarified some information about different antibiotics. The fees were very reasonable and everyone was friendly. The office is a little older, but seemed clean and well maintained. Update: I went back with another ... read more

We had to make the very difficult decision to put our 16 year old cat, Whisper, to sleep. He was old and was having all sorts of trouble. From my first tear-filled phone call to the actual appointment they treated my husband and I with compassion and respect. I felt heard and cared for, by complete strangers. Whisper has been gone about a week now, we are still getting used to our little family without him... and today, we received a beautiful sympathy card handwritten by Dr. Zinn and signed by the office staff. So thoughtfu... read more

I certainly wouldn't let negative reviews concern anyone reading them. I have been with the practice for over 10 years and cannot begin to tell you the amount of unexpected amount of personal assistance given to me and my pets. Unfortunately, I had another sick dog this week and my regular vet, Dr. Linda Bloomfield was not available. I had no qualms about still taking my baby to this practice. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Heather Moore and was more than impressed with her. What a great addition to your practice. This p... read more

BE WARNED OF LIVERMORE VETERINARY HOSP. I have used Livermore Veterinary Hospital (LVH), now and again because they are close to my home BUT I have reached the end THIS TIME! I WILL NEVER go back to them. The first time I had to use them, my dog had diarrhea and they ran every test know to man just to send us home by just rehydrating him with a needle full of liquid under the skin. Well, he still had the problem. The next day I brought him back in and asked for medicine to stop the diarrhea, they would NOT give it to him bec... read more

I've been going there for years. Even after going to Banfield for a bit and then trying out Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, I still come back to Livermore Veterinary Hospital. They aren't the cheapest, nor are they the most expensive. What they are though is consistently nice. They used to have that whole down-home-country-charm feeling, but that has changed a bit since some of the vets retired, which represents a loss of some of that practical country remedy style veterinary medicine. However, what was lost was made up for by th... read more

The vets at LVH are amazing. The office staff is always so friendly and happy, and the vets were amazing. For the most part we saw Dr. Moore, she was great with my dog, and great with me!! But all the vets there were great. If you want to take your pet to a kind, loving and happy place then this is the place to take them too!!

Yay! Thanks again Yelpers, for helping me find another great business to frequent. They are reasonably priced, gentle yet firm and don't try to gouge you. This is the vet I have been looking for!

I had the sad task of taking my 18 year old Border Collie in to have him euthanasied. After having no cooperation with my own local Vet (which my dog had been going to for years). I called Livermore Veterinary Hospital. They were very helpful in taking my dog and I through this process. Dr. Heather Moore and her assistant had great compassion for my dog and I, as we traveled through his final journey together. After a few day's I received a personalized sympathy card from Dr. Moore with her condolences. I was touched by the ... read more
