This review is about Dr. Sean Penn, a practitioner at Horizon. Horizon takes the hit by association. My 13 year old dog was diagnosed by Dr. Penn as having kidney disease. Penn did an ultrasound wherein he insisted it could be her gallbladder. When I informed him she no longer had her gallbladder due to surgery a few years earlier, he tried to claim that maybe they had just removed a mucosae from her gallbladder. Not a chance. I recently moved out of state and my dog needs medical attention so I called for his most recent injection and oral meds prescribed by Horizon. 5 hours later (& they are closed now) still no call back. Apparently my dog no longer matters since we are out of state now.

The staff have always been great going on 15 years with them. We have a new little puppy Lucy and vaccines-have been a breeze!

Do not reccomend. We brought our puppy here for vaccinations. When scheduling our first appointment they did not tell us to bring a stool sample, and then asked for it when we arrived. In our first visit the Doctor forgot to do two things that she told us she was going to do, they were minor so we let it go. Our second visit was extremely alarming. Without any warning it was a new doctor who did not introduce herself. She came in and quickly gave our dog the shots and after the fact asked us how old he was and what shots he ... read more

I just experienced one if the worst situations concerning my Champion French bull dog, who was due for puppies. I went through 3 progesterone tests to determine when she was ready to have her C section. French bull dogs require C sections. Progesterone should be at a 1 if not 0 before birth. I was first told it was at 4.2 then when I was checking out to take my girl home. On the bill it stated progesterone was 5.4 . I asked which one was correct. I agree totally with Mark H. And the other bad reviews about the staff at Horizon Animal Hospital, the few girls at the front desk are rude, mean, demeaning and I will definately will not be going there ever again. I tried telling Tammy and Jennifer about their rudeness but they turned it around on me! Your right they don't care about you or the animals. They hang up on you. They act like I'm making this up. Where do I start? Well, I guess I'll start with the best: Beth A Hareski DVM. Dr. Beth has been at Horizon for years. Poor Beth was the Dr that had to help me understand my 21 year old cat had lived a great life and needed to move on.... This was unexpected. She was/is so kind and helped me through an indescribable experience. Fast forward ten years and she's still helping me wonderfully with my pup. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this place. We have been bringing our dog here for years and unfortunately she has a chronic UTI problem. Coming home from work at four in the afternoon finding out that she had gone to the bathroom three or four times in the house and smelling the same foul smell of her other UTI's I called Horizon animal hospital. Tami insisted that Dr. Patterson would not call in or give us an antibiotic (that the dog has been using for years ) and we needed at least 24 hours. Do you know how far ... read more

My cat Love and Puppy Jamie was seen by Dr. Beth. And other Doctors at Horizon Animal Hospital, She's absolutely amazing, caring, sweet, and professional, her staff always very kind helpful, professional and They go above and beyond to help in every possible way, we appreciate how hard they work very much. I learned that Dr. Beth is retiring soon that made me sad, we're going to miss her very much and we wish her all the best!
