I hope this reaches everyone! Recently our Boo Boo, the kindest Pit Bull ever succumbed to cancer and there was no care available, my son in-law mentioned Horizon so we called and soon after scheduled. The staff was very empathetic and caring, the facility was prefect and we said our goodbyes. I couldn't have built or created a better place for Boo to take her last breath, she was calm as if she knew and was thankful for the extra consideration both the hospital and her parents gave her. Horizon is doing an outstanding job managing appointments and interaction in the COVID-19 environment. Our appointment was right on time, the process for communicating with the techs and the DVM was easy. As was payment. Great job Horizon team!!
Wow, I cant thank the doctor's and staff here enough. We took our what was a fat cat in because he started losing weight and ended up with yellow skin and was close to dying. After a feeding tube and numerous visits our cat has recovered wonderfully. He is now back to his comfortable self. Thank you for fixing my girlfriends cat Binx for us.
This is my 2nd Yelp review in 5 years. I felt obligated to say something special for a place that helped our family through an, especially rough time with our 13-year-old labradoodle, Henry Hudson which meant the world to our family. We moved from the UK 3 years ago with our two dogs (one of them was diabetic and quite old and past away in December). Since my first visit, the doctors at Horizon Animal Hospital treated us very well and I could tell that they always try to do the best for our dogs. I have never had an issue, the staff is very friendly, it's easy to make appointments, the facilities are clean and spacious. My dog got its ear bit off at doggie day care (it was her fault) and Dr. Wendy at Horizon put it back on. She is the world's best veterinarian, compassionate, super-skilled, and speaks dog language. Best ever.
We really like Dr. Penn. He takes his time with Meeko and answers all of our questions. We never feel rushed during our appointment and he does not recommend unneeded tests. He answers our phone calls very quickly. We are in good hands with Dr. Penn.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A VET CLINIC My dog has been a patient at this clinic long before I rescued him from owners who abandoned him. I continued coming here for consistency, even though I don't live in the US year-round. Today's visit for his monthly arthritis injection was the last straw. The veterinarian ordered unnecessary testing for about $1,000 without asking the dog owners about their dog's medical history. Some of the front office staff interact poorly with dog owners, negatively affecting the experience.
