Dr. Beth and the Horizon team have been caring for my pets for 20 year! I trust them implicitly to provide the best treatment and recommendations for my 4-legged kids. Joanne, at the front desk, is the best! She's kind, compassionate, and a great first impression for the practice (for new customers) - the rest of us already know she's gold!
Attitude, attitude, attitude I have a very shy dog. He is extremely skiddish and tends to runaway from vet offices. This vet hospital has the worst protocol for handling COVID. After the attitude I received today from the staff, (not the vet tech, he is really nice and understanding), I will not be returning Here and all of my future business will be with McDowell mountain. The veterinarians here are kind, knowledgeable and always do what is right. They don't do unnecessary treatments unless it is really. Needed & always explain things first. I would not go anywhere else!
The veterinarians and their assistants at Horizon Animal Hospital saved our cat's life and we are incredibly grateful. She became so sick, so suddenly and her little face ballooned up. Staff squeezed in an extra appointment keeping staff beyond closing time. Throughout the first week, they were available by phone while she was on the mend. Our whole family is so grateful that our sweet rescue kitty is completely healthy again. Thank you Horizon Animal Hospital!
I would not suggest taking your fur babies (cats) to this vet. They are not experts and just suck the money out of you. Unfortunately one of my cats had to be put down due to their lack of care and understanding.

We had never been here before and they were the only clinic that was open close to our home on a Sunday. My pup needed to be seen right away for an anal gland abscess and they were able to get us in with no problems! The receptionist was so sweet and caring over the phone which followed through to the techs and veterinarian. HEADS UP Pet Parents!! Beware of Horizon Animal Hospital treating your precious fur babies. My fur baby in actuality was very ill for over a year. He is 12 years old, was unable to eat without throwing up and having bouts of diarrhea. Dr. Beth diagnosed him with IBS and just kept changing his prescription diet food, no blood work, no ultrasound, oh excuse me they did an ultrasound about 1 year ago and bloodwork. Great, caring animal hospital. We moved to this area recently and needed to find a new vet. Three of my neighbors immediately said you have to go to Horizon and you won't be sorry. Easy to set appointment for new furry friends, reception area nice and staff was very kind and welcomed us immediately. Dr. Patterson was so genuine and kind to both of our dogs, took extra time as our newest rescue is going through trauma. Joann is absolutely so kind, always with a smile and truly cares! Thank you!
Long Review Alert: I had a great experience with this vet. I brought my dog there because she needed an ultrasound. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming and I was able to get in the same day I called. The vet I met with explained everything/every possibility and wasn't in a rush to get me in and out. They took my dog back and gave me the news that she had a large mass on her stomach and most likely had lymphoma. The vet was extremely compassionate and kind and comforting in telling me the news.
