The most horrific experience you could imagine. Be sure to read the other reviews. Imagine your dog having a 100 cactus needles in their mouth and a vet forcing the dog to wear a muzzle. Need I say more? I immediately took my pup and left. When I asked to speak to the owner, she did not even give me the courtesy of communication. Not even a return phone call. never been here but I never will because all I ever get is put on hold for 8mins or more. very frustrating. phone sometimes gives a busy signal when calling.

Dr Beth is a wonderful vet, we are so glad we found Horizon Animal Hospital. Sadly we had to euthanize our beloved dog last year. We had never been here before yet we were treated like treasured friends with kindness and understanding by everyone at Horizon. Thank you Dr Beth and everyone. It was just another day at the office for you but it was a day we'll always remember and we are so grateful that our dog was treated gently and compassionately. It's hard being a vet. My boyfriend and I have been taking our dogs to this animal hospital since they were pups. It's been a little over a year and we have had no issue. We even have had them in their boarding when we go on vacation. This review is based on Mondays visit, November 12th 2018. We had no issues with Luna. She is super friendly. The issue we have is how the staff and vet handled our other dog, Ava. Ava is a shiba inu and going to unfamiliar places scares her. Where do I begin. H-E-Double Hockey sticks NO! During the holidays we had to unfortunately kennel our two fur babies. One of our fur babies have been there plenty of times before, so we were more than comfortable using Horizon again. However, due to one of our fur babies being a puppy and having it be her first time, I was a little weary of how she would take her first kennel experience. Even after moving to a different area of Scottsdale, I still choose to come to this vet. I've tried other vets that are closer and none compare. The staff, vet techs and vets are all great - friendly, attentive and very skilled. I highly recommend taking your pets here!!

The entire staff at Horizon Animal Hospital and the boarding kennel are the best! I've been bringing my dog here a few years and it is better than any previous vet and boarding kennel I have been to. Emily just helped me book an appointment and answer a few questions I had about end of life services. She was so kind and helpful. Top notch customer service that is hard to find these days!

Dr. Penn and his staff are just amazing. My dog had an obstruction in his bowel and Dr. Penn did emergency surgery on him. He took the time to explain all the details of the surgery and the complications. He gave me an estimate on the surgery and a low and high estimate. After the surgery they ended up crediting me back which was very honest of them. My dog has been back a few times after the surgery to get checked up on and it's been a good experience each time. Dr. Penn is very thorough and I will continue to use Horizon. ... read more
