I give my dog heart worm meds every month, like clockwork. When it comes time to renew the prescription, I have always been given the option to sign a waiver for a heart worm test, as I've been told by reputable vets that it is unnecessary to have the test if meds have been given as prescribed. Saguaro has always had that policy...until now. I called to request a new supply of Sentinel the other day, was told Saguaro no longer offers that medication and then was told to place on order through Chewy, instead. On July 20, 2020 I took my 1 year old cat, River to see Dr. John because she hadn't eaten all weekend, was lethargic, and just not herself. I had called, and was told to use the AirVet app to describe the issue and Dr. John would call me. He did and advised that I bring River in at 8:30 AM. I did that. She was taken in and I waited there in the parking lot for over 5 hours (I had to call out of work). I never got an update the entire time she was there. I have taken my pets to this clinic for many years. Today however I had a difficult time finding a place to park. The lot has been changed and they are doing drive up medicine pick up. I booked my appointment but nothing on their very long message gave an indication of needing to call the office when you arrived at the office. As a result of recent knee surgery I struggled getting the pet Maggie out of the car. I was juggling my cane, her records and my billfold. Extremely rude receptionist!! I called as a new patient to make an appt for an issue with my dog, and they couldn't see me for 10 days. I asked where else they suggest I should go then to be seen earlier and the girl laughed and said "nowhere!" I wanted to use this vet as my family members recommended it, but I'm extremely put off from this one interaction with the office staff.

Dr Emerson is a terrible Vet. So rude. I brought in my old dog who had been seen for years there. I waited patiently for Dr. Emerson and finally, an hour after my scheduled appointment time, she walks in and asks me why I am there. When I made the appointment I had said it was for an annual exam. Dr. Emerson stood there and said, " so what am I supposed to do about it?" I was floored at how rude she was. BEWARE - Amazing Rude Receptionist - apparently too good for new patients! I was told no new appointments for 10 days, even with an emergency for my dog. I asked if they were not wanting new patients and the man for the Clinic said not if you can't wait 10 days. I am sure his boss would want to know that he is turning people away!

Thursday, September 3, 2020 - We have been taking out dogs to Saguaro Veterinary Clinic for 30 years. Both us and our dogs have loved their service and the care they took with our animal's veterinarian needs. The receptionists in this office are ill-mannered, discourteous, lack basic communication skills and are unequipped to handle any kind of task they are presented with. Why they have been placed as the "face" of the company is beyond me. I was nothing but polite to them!! and they treated me like an irritant over the phone and gave my husband attitude when he arrived.
