Very friendly staff, was very loving to my dog, and provided the services I needed for my 3 month old puppy.
They added a bunch of things I didn't want to the bill, wouldn't listen to me when I asked to take something off/did not think things were necessary, and the bill was $100 more than what I agreed to. Will not be coming back
Pet Vet Animal Hospital stays true to old school, traditional American values -- this is a place that will smile while completely avoiding accountability & speak in technical lingo to confuse you. They will be intentionally vague about the pick-up time & estimate in an attempt to overcharge. Their front desk, knock-off UC Davis branding look is white & pristine but that's about the only thing that is clean there. After nearly 20 years as a loyal client, I'm deeply disappointed to leave this review. On November 3rd, staff told me my dog was "required by law" to have a yearly exam for any treatment whatsoever (I needed my dog's stitches removed). As someone who works in law, I verified this is completely false--no such California or federal law exists. Petvet, when you say your clinic closes at 6 pm, please be there until 6 pm. I am supposed to pickup meds today for my friend's fur baby. I was there at 5:50 pm and yet the business was already closed. Please be mindful of people's schedules. You were told someone will be picking up the meds. You should have at least called and informed us that you are closing early. Marianna, where are you? We need you back.
Horrible place! Made an appointment for my 14 year-old German Shepherd and because I was 15 minutes late the office manager told me to get out. I explained that it is 120 pound dog that has nerve damage and is not able to walk so it's very difficult to put him in and out of the car and he needed to be seen urgently. She said because you're late for your appointment. You cannot be here we have other patients. She made me put this old dog back in the car and didn't even schedule me another appointment. I have been bringing my K9 & feline Family members (8 dogs & 7 cats over the years) to Pet Vet for the better part of three decades. I just love this cute little vetrinary hospital! It is just down the street from where I live, so very convenient location, and they are open 7 days a week so we never have a problem getting an appointment when we need one. The doctors and staff are all so nice and they LOVE my cats :)...well at least they love Coco! She is the sweet one ;) LOL. I took my dog there when he got ill and they were absolutely amazing! Marianna, the receptionist there was so informative and professional and sweet! I recommend this vet hospital to anybody who loves their dogs they are treated with love and respect over those very expensive posh vets where your just treated as a number!!!
