When my dog Akira became very sick I was scared of the inevitable trip to the vet and how difficult it may be to get her better. I was able to make an appointment that day and saw a doctor and nurse who, you could tell, love animals. They could tell she was scared and uncomfortable so they let her smell all of the instruments and kept petting her to make her feel better.
