In regards to the manager's comments on my review, it is funny how she is "sorry that I feel so angry" but no apologies are made on behalf of that Katz individual. This speaks tons about this business. In addition, she states that I was upset with the front desk staff, while I was just upset with Katz, after the rude treatment he showed me. And, she goes on and on explaining why they don't give an abundance of fluid bags, but instead of writing it on Yelp, why doesn't she explain it to her front desk staff, so next time they... read more
Business response:
Romina I am sorry you feel so angry about your visit. I was up front when you were here, you were very upset with my front desk staff. The reason we dont normally give an abundance of fluid bags on renal failure kitties is because many things can change with their case in a matter of days. When you call in for bags we are able to see how your cat is doing and if there are any issues. You were new to our practice so you may have not fully understood our policies yet with how we handle our chronic renal failure cases and conti... read more
I've ALWAYS had a positive experience with Dr. Katz and staff and never walked out of this office feeling like I just wasted money. Even when I lived in VA, I drove all the way here to have my dog see Dr. Katz. I've been taking my sweet Rottweiler, Tyson, here since he was a puppy. I love that I can walk into the office and be greeted with "Hey Tyson!" almost immediately. Dr. Katz has always given us great, honest advice when it comes to my dog! Which I appreciate since he really cares about the well being of our pets versus... read more
Haven't Yelped in a while. Today, we needed to take Mom's cat in. Today ended up being his last day in earth. I live on the other side of the country. Here to visit family. Glad that there is Yelp. Everyone in the clinic were courteous and caring. They even were able to fit in a last minute, same day visit. The clinic does the blood test onsite. Confirming why he wasn't feeling well. with severe ulcer's in the mouth, kidney failure, and liver going. It was sad to see him go. Pickle, thank you for everything. Thank you fo... read more
We had Lauren groom our Bichon 10 days ago. Lauren does EXCELLENT work. However, she nicked our dogs nail or toe somehow - as i noticed a very small blood spot on her paw when I picked her up. i did not think much about it. two days later - we left for a week long vacation and took our dog with us. During the entire week - she was continually licking that same exact paw which had bleed right after grooming. Today, our 1st business day back - my Wife calls the vet to see if they can see her. I brought her in this morning - th... read more
Business response:
Rick- I apologize that you feel as though you were treated poorly and that your dog did not get the care coverage that you felt you deserved. However, Gemma was groomed on August 3rd, you brought her in on August 17th for the irritation on the paw. We could have absolutely dealt with the paw issue when you picked her up if it was noticed then, or the days leading up to your vacation. It is very difficult for even the very BEST of doctors to give you a definite answer of what caused the nail bed infection, especially 14 da... read more
My cat, Kali, had been losing quite a bit of weight since we moved (and has a history of IBD and chronic respiratory issues, poor thing), so I wanted to bring her in for a checkup. We saw Dr. Challberg, who reviewed Kali's past medical records that I had asked them to request from our old vet, and was very attentive in listening to my concerns about Kali. She took some blood and urine to run tests and did a thorough physical exam. The office emailed me a detailed report after our visit, which was great. When Kali's lab resul... read more
Dr. Katz is wonderful. He never rushes us and always takes extra time to explain everything in full detail. They all really care about the animals here!
I will never, ever go there again. My cat was misdiagnosed twice! I brought her in because I found her on the street and I wanted to make sure she was healthy. Dr. Katz sent her back home with an ear infection (a very, very bad one)saying that she was pregnant and couldn't treat it (which is not true) and never tested for ringworm. So I had to go back again for the ear infection and once the kittens were born and they (and myself) got ringworm I had to bring (now FOUR cats) for ringworm treatment. When I confronted him he st... read more
The name of this place makes a pretty sweet double entendre, so right there it gets mad fat cat points. These folks are the ess. They KNOW animals like some Redford horse-whispering nonsense. They knew my cats by name, and my cats seemed pretty comfortable in their care. Their facility was so clean, so much so that you can eat off the floor. No really! I had a delicious three bean casserole under the waiting room table! They not only fixed animals, but educated. Im obviously not the only that likes this place because the app... read more
