Very impressed with the care and kindness of the staff. Dr. John Houghton was very patient, kind, and sincere. If he were a "people doctor" I would go to him. This hospital is the best we've taken our black lab to. Recommended. Jeff

This place is awesome! I am from out of town and I was extremely nervous about letting my dog go to anyone. We went to get his shots updated and they took me on a tour of the facility, as well as scheduled me a same day appointment with the doctor after some medical concerns arose with my dog. They provided me with great feedback and my dog seemed very please. One thing that I absolutely love about this vet is they do not have cats walking around freely. Met with Dr. Osborne today, and was super impressed. Will definitely be using this hospital going forward. The whole staff is amazing, and the hospital is super clean!

Update August 2016 Today is my third visit, my 2 dogs were new patients of Dr. Houghton in June 2016. Since our first visit which was totally fine and clinically proficient I have become more impressed. I am a tough customer and it's hard for me offer a 5 star review unless it's truly a 5 star experience but I am offering it here for shear willingness on the Drs part and staffs for listening to feedback and being willing to implement suggestions (plus of course their clinical expertise). We have only been once, and this is now our vet. Dr. Houghton's compassion for both his patients and their people made a lasting impression on us. This is someone I would trust with my animals, which is probably the nicest thing I could say about someone.

I just went in to get my cat dewormer and they tried to force a rabies shot on my indoor-only cat without asking me first. When I said no, they kept pushing until I had to get my mom on the phone to stand up to them. Only then did they agree to let me sign a waiver, but not without making us feel pressured and uncomfortable. They also charged me $220 for just a checkup and some dewormer, and didn't even give me a real receipt--just a generic report. Title: Disappointed by Lack of Care and Due Diligence I brought my cat multiple times over several months to Hambright Animal Hospital expecting professional care, but unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. Several vets failed to conduct thorough exams, did not perform basic tests only suggesting I go to an internal center to resolve my cats upper respiratory infection. This is a wonderful place for my dog Winston. I've been twice so far and our experience has been wonderful. Except for today when I walked in to pick up Winston's medication. The of of the lady's at the front desk (long salt and pepper hair) was standing in the middle of the front desk looked at me twice and did not great me, did not say hello while looking at me and TURN HER BACK on me while I was standing there waiting to be greeted and helped. We took our dog in for a possible urinary tract issue. The vet seemed knowledgeable and prescribed an antibiotic and several tests. $400 The vet called with preliminary results and said he'd contact me with final results. He didn't They also are expensive and seem to want to sell many tests We use Chewy for prescriptions and have never had an issue with having other vets approve. Hambright wanted to have us come in for an exam (Another $$$). She had been in just a few weeks ago Moving on....
