We're Here Whenever You Need Us! At Advanced Animal Care we strive to be a place that doesn’t turn anyone away and that our staff look forward to coming to work. We opened in December of 2008 as the area's first 24 hour animal hospital. AAC is family owned and we plan to stay that way. We have a lot of the benefits that a corporate practice would have and yet maintain the feel of a local organization.

RecommendedI unexpectedly had to euthanize my cat due to illness. The veterinarian, Dr. Poynter, and tech were wonderful! Although I was absolutely heartbroken, they went above and beyond to comfort me and my fur baby. They were very professional, kind and sympathetic about the situation. I highly recommend them to take care of your fur baby’s needs. They will be in good hands.
The staff and doctors took the best of care of my dog after being misdiagnosed by other vets. They found out what was wrong with him and didn’t cut any corners. Dr.Henze explained everything and made sure my dog was comfortable and well taken care of. They love all animals like their own and I definitely recommend them.
We had another great experience at AAC ER. We were pleasantly and promptly greeted and assisted with our Lucky girl who experienced an injury. With in moments I felt at ease knowing quickly that she was in good hands. We were treated wonderfully. We received a quick quote, was allowed time to review it (I over heard the staff talking so kindly to and about our girl). Everything was explained well to us. Our little Bruce Wayne (our adopted stray cat) was seen last Friday by Dr. Crabtree for a dog bite. The staff, tech, and Dr Crabtree were amazing. Though our little gut was injured so the situation was not ideal, I am grateful for the services and the kindness of all of the staff. Honestly planning to just keep them as our vet even though it's an hour drive!
We had to drive a hour away early New Years morning to get our baby there just in time to be saved. Although we had to say goodbye, we were able to say goodbye before making the hardest decision for our boy Si thanks to the quick reaction and care. We truly appreciate the kindness shown and love given even by the Dr to our boy as we said our goodbye. I’m sure this is a situation they go through many times and could have been uncaring, it was the complete opposite.
Unfortunately, someone ran over our cat on Sunday so we rushed to Advanced Animal Care. They immediately took us back and took her for X-rays. While the injuries were too much for her little body, they made the process so smooth and it almost felt like they were grieving with us. I truly cannot thank Dr. Chapman enough for everything she and her crew did for us. They gave us all the time we wanted with her and made sure we understood every last little thing they were doing. We can't thank AAC enough for taking such good care of our girl Meg! We've had to use their ER/Urgent care twice for our 10 year old bulldog. They are truly exceptional. Everyone there is top notch. Knowledgeable, accessible, compassionate, and willing to answer any phone call with questions and concerns. I hope we never need them again, but if we do i will not hesitate to make the 1.5 hour drive.

I would love to give this emergency vet my UPMOST praise! We brought our little coondog there that we rescued. As soon as I got there I told the staff I thought my son’s dog was going to die and they IMMEDIATELY ran outside and grabbed my dog and took him inside. Dr. Crabtree was caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. Took out doxypin here last night (10-12-24) an they where great. Our pup Buster had been sick for a week hed been to our Vet monday but hadnt got better. All the staff was amazing an so good with buster to say the least. They done blood work an we found his white cell count was elevated an him not eating was a big thing to as hes normally 10lbs but was skin an bones, thankfully he had no issue drinking but they did give him fluids under the skin, appetite meds an antibiotic.
