We all agree Dr. Brown was a caring, wonderful vet. He always showed compassion for our pets. Sadly, he retired and the place is not the same. I searched for a better place for my beloved dog and found great care at Nordhoff Veterinary Hospital in Chatsworth. Really nice staff and caring doctors. They and Access ER believe Dr. Perry misdiagnosed my dog's neck injury. What I remember from my visit with her was that she spent almost the entire time talking about HER neck injury. Should have read all the negative reviews!!! New management, inflated prices and unprofessional receptionist. Took my dog for her allergy shot. I was charged $30 more than the last shot, 3 months ago. Asked why such an increase. With a straight face, the male receptionist said that it is due to a manufactor increase in price. Called 2 other vets later. Pet Vet charge was $175 but the others are charging $135 for same dosage and same medicine. That's $40 more. What a rip off! 3 years ago, I brought in our brand new puppy to this vet. We saw a female vet, but I can't remember her name now. Our puppy of 4 days had vomited the night before, and she seemed lethargic so I took her in. The vet was wonderful. She checked her over and did a parvovirus test "just in case." Well, our sweet Lily did end up having parvovirus. The dishonest Breeder had sold her to us with this horrible disease. The vet and staff were so compassionate and patient. The Dr. Perry bought out this pet hospital is a rude, money grubbing, bitch. I have never seen or been around an ass so out of touch with how to be a dog person. My dog who never snaps at anyone snapped at her and she said my dog is a bad dog. No Dummy you are a bad "Doctor". She made an instant diagnosis that my dog had a tumor by raising his tail. We CHERISHED Dr. Brown. He was an incredible doctor and his prices were beyond reasonable. We are on our fourth dog (one passed at 17 so now Have 3). Unfortunately since Dr Brown left this place has become all about money. For example (and I have a LIST), my smallest weighs at 12 lbs and was due for vaccination. Dr Brown gave him 2 out of 3 and said to come back for the third because he is so tiny and it'll be too much for his little body to handle. Fast forward to now Dr Brown being gone. Love this place! I have a dog and a cat that I've been taking here for the past five years and I've had great experiences every time. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the care they provide is top notch, and the doctors and staff have always been extremely helpful. Prices are very reasonable too. I see there are a few negative reviews about Dr Perry, but my cat's most recent visit was with her and I really can't say anything bad. She was kind and informative. My previous 5-Star rating for the amazing staff, service and care my 3 pets received for many years under the great care of Dr. T and Dr. Brown. Unfortunately Dr. Brown has now retired and PetVet is under new management and most new staff. The new Vet seems nice but gave quotes for stuff that wasn't necessary and overall prices are high. FYI - follow-up visits are considered a "new" consultation with a new exam fee. Ridiculous. I'm not a fan of Dr. Perry. She isn't friendly so I am transferring to another vet. Her demeanor is rude and snotty. She's just horrible. I am bummed because the assistants and techs at the front desk are AMAZING! My dog and I are going to miss them. I am no longer recommending Pet Vet to anyone.
