Dr. Byrd and her staff are knowledgable and compassionate. Our dachshund fell ill last week. Dr. Byrd's associate saw her and referred us to a kidney specialist. After it was decided that nothing could be done to help her, and after further consultation with Dr. Byrd, we brought our dog in the next morning to euthanize her. As usual, Dr. Byrd was kind and gentle, talking to our family and to our beloved Lindsay as we said goodbye. We are grateful for their professionalism and care during our sad time. She took good care of L... read more

I have been so happy with this place. I don't have to wait long, and the waiting area is clean and not crowded. Complementary nail trims during visits is a bonus too. I've worked with Dr.Byrd and she's thorough, great with animals, and listens to my concerns. The vet techs are great too. Prices are a bit higher than my last Vet but well worth it!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE My sweet and beautiful kitty would still be alive if I wouldn't have brought her to this place. I brought her in for a hair cut because she gets matted once in a while. From the very first phone call I placed for the appointment, they brought up putting her under anesthesia for her hair cut which has never been needed before. After I dropped her off on her appointment date November 21st they insisted again she be put under and while she's under to check her teeth. I was against any anesthesia from t... read more

I have been taking my fur babies to Northern Oaks since 2008 and my kids were only 8-10 weeks old. The Doctors have always provided excellent care and advice. The offices "used" to be a joy to take my kids and I have always been assured that their issues/ailments would be well taken care of. The issue I have is with the changes in the front office personnel. I used to enter and be greeted. I used to call and be confident that my messages would be passed along and calls would be returned promptly. The last 3 times I've gone ... read more

Just had post visit for two year old pup. Extremely customer service focused; from front desk, vet tech and vet. Did not rush to get you in and out. Took time to ask pertinent questions regarding pet, home environment, eating habits, etc. Answered all of my questions. If you are searching for a caring vet, I highly recommend this establishment.

We took our senior kitty in for renal failure. Dr. Martinez was such a blessing. All of the staff is welcoming and personable. We received daily updates and were encouraged to stop by and visit during his stay in the hospital. He was released Friday after thoughtful and careful instructions on how to care for him at home. On Monday Dr. Martinez called just to check on him. I would recommend this clinic to anyone wanting their animal in the very best hands.

All I can say is "wow." The entire staff, from the ladies who checked us in to the veterinary assistant to the vet herself were all amazing. From the moment we walked in, the environment was professional, clean, friendly and courteous. Our cat had a regular vet, but suffered an injury that required an appointment the next day. Our regular vet was unable to see him, and I am honestly glad, because that led us to Northern Oaks, and Dr. Byrd. She and her staff were very knowledgeable and gentle, and they really took the time to... read more

I have been using Northern Oaks for the past 12 years. Without Dr. Rebekah Byrd, my cat would have been dead years ago. I would not trust her care to anyone else.

I had to make the emotional decision to euthanize a dog we've had for the past 13 years. To make this decision more difficult, we have been searching for a new vet for a month or two as we had several poor experiences with our previous clinic and decided to leave that clinic. On Friday, June 28th, we called Northern Oaks AH and explained that we had made the decision to put one of our dogs down and wanted to see what services they had to offer. We were quoted $45 if they disposed of the ashes on their private lake or $115 if... read more
