I contacted the Irvine Valley Pet hospital to see a African Dwarf Frog with bloat. They want $178.47 to see an animal. This does not include treatment, only the visit. A fee this high to walk in the door is usury, not usual or customary and shows that they are doing their best to take advantage any customer. When I asked about the fee the rep responded that they have payment plan available:)

They charge a $350 annual membership fee to see a vet. Prior to covid they were great had such a great experience for years and then they decided they could make more off their customers by marketing the idea that paying an annual membership you can make an appointment and see a doctor (like any other office) and you get vet visits free. So that $80 vet visit (if you only go one a year) is essentially $350 dollars on top of anything else you may need to pay for like blood work, vaccines, etc. They do have an emergency lo... read more

It gives you access to integrative medicine services, access to elective procedures, the ability to build a long-term relationship with one of our two doctors and there is a no cost transfer to our ER hospital from our primary care facility if that is needed.
