About this business

HealthcareVeterinarians

Finding the right hospital with the right doctors is not always an easy task. At Hickory, we realize the frustration many pet owners feel when choosing a veterinary hospital. So we decided to make it easy for our clients. We took a primary care veterinary hospital with dedicated general practitioners and added experienced specialists in surgery, oncology, cardiology, radiology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation and acupuncture. Then we went one step further and made the medical facility open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 7... read more

This vet is absolutely HORRIBLE. First and foremost, they are very expensive. Every other vet in the area is half the price. I scheduled my dogs appointment in advance so I didn't need to worry about waiting. I waited an hour and half to be taken back or even to be acknowledged. My dog was a new patient and a rescue. They didn't even request for us to bring in a fecal sample and now my dog is sick. Had they tested it under the proper protocol, my dog would have been treated by now and on his way to feeling better. When I ask... read more

I was happy bringing my dog here but they are extremely expensive. Quoted me $1000 for neutering and micro chip, getting it done another place for $200. There are probably some differences in that number but $800 worth? Doubtful

A mixed bag of tricks. I've been coming to this vet for emergencies for about 15 years and last year also made them my regular veterinary hospital. They range from excellent to the worst depending on what area you're focusing on. Starting with the pros: Dr. Eisenstein is one of the best veterinarians I've ever come into contact with. Her competence and medical knowledge are easily on par with veterinarians twice her age. She's been treating my dog, Raven, for kidney disease for the past 16 months since she was diagnose... read more

Thank you for disclosing the full details of my dog's health history to the public on google, I am sure you would have done the same if he were human because that would be considered a HIPPA violation. I think there were a lot of in between the lines that you forgot to mention and others are not aware of so let me fill everyone else in since I had originally written this out but did not post it. SUNDAY 4/8/18 1. When my dog got injured we immediately took him to seek help and would do anything to make sure he was okay, as wo... read more

I was referred to this animal hospital for reproductive services to preserve my mastiffs sperm. From the moment we walked in the nurse that was to help with the service approached my dog timidly and made him nervous. We sat for about 20 minutes after our appointment time. When Dr. Goodman finally came in to see us she had an awful attitude and immediately made the situation tense and uncomfortable. While the questions she was asking were pertinent to our visit, we felt very judged as she was reiterating information from rese... read more

BEWARE....THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF ROBBING YOU! Professional and friendly, HOWEVER, like many of us who don't have insurance for our pets and if you walk in that door with an emergency, Hickory will try to suck every dime out of your wallet. We got charged for unnecessary vaccinations, recommended to keep our dog overnight to perform surgery ASAP, but after numerous calls to Hickory, we find out that afternoon the procedure was never done. They wanted to keep her overnight again with no assurance that anything will be do... read more

This place is an absolute disgrace. They literally killed my dog. In April of 2017, my dog was acting irregularly and I took him to this vet. They said he just needed fluids and sent him on his way. July 15, 2017, my dog could not even walk and was weak and acting very irregularly again so I took him back. They told me he had a huge tumor in his stomach and he had internal bleeding. They told me that he needed emergency surgery but his prognosis was very good as he is smaller dog and the tumor was bigger which indicative of ... read more

Great place!!! Night staff was kind and efficient with my pet. Dr. Sprague was so thorough and patient explaining everything to us. I couldn't recommend a better place that's convenient.
