The veterinarian Anna Copek seen our 2 female kittens when they were born. Later on I said I said I was thinking of spaying them, because I was concerned about preventing mammary cancer. I knew more detailed information about them that the vet didn't know, like their mother almost had mammary cancer after she had kittens, that it was hereditary, but I got her spayed right afterward to prevent it. Although this vet is good at the technical part and does surgery and procedures well, this vet has a way of getting overly pe... read more
I regret bringing my dog there for 9 years. She was sick when I brought her in, hardly did a proper exam and gave me diarrhea meds for 4 days. The diarrhea didn't get better after a week. On a Sunday she was so sick she couldn't walk, play, eat or drink. I had to take her to an emergency vet which ran a huge bill because they didn't do their job. She ended up having to have IVs and other meds objected to feel better. I was beyond upset my dog was so sick and helpless. Absolutely awful service.
Not an efficient business whatsoever. They missed several key medications for our new puppy. Will not return.
I have been bringing both my dogs here for many years. I usually saw Dr. Kopec who was competent, and compassionate. Unfortunately, I recently found Dr. Ashley Rossman to be irritated and not compassionate in dealing with a dog in distress. My dog was suffering from a very serious kidney infection, which had developed extremely quickly and had progressed rapidly, even though I brought her to Blue Pearl in Northfield straight from Glen Oak. Blue Pearl is an excellent emergency care facility. Unfortunately, they could n... read more
Do not go to this animal hospital. The vet I went to was insensitive and seemed only interested in recommending expensive treatments that made her more money as opposed to the well being of my dog. I have two cats as well and I will never go back there. Stay away! There are plenty of ethical vets in the area.
I've been going to Glen Oak Vet for about two years and it's worth the drive from the city. Dr Ashley really knows what she's doing and she always gives my cats a thorough checkup, even scraping plaque off their teeth. I appreciate the time she takes with my cats, and I find the prices very reasonable too. And when other diagnostic tests are necessary, she asks me about them and we discuss them, rather than other vets I've been to where they do a bunch of tests on the cats without asking me about it first, and then I get ... read more
I went in to get a quote on getting my cat de-clawed. The tech behind the counter was obviously inexperienced, so he checked with one of the vets. I was told $125 plus the cost of shots, which they said would be around $50 since they were waiving the office fee because I was a new client. When I showed up with my cat for the appointment, I was told that they had misquoted me and it would now be $400. You couldn't call me to tell me that before I wasted my whole morning? The doctor said it was her mistake, she should have ask... read more
I received a call from Avid (the microchip company) saying that Amanda from Glen Oak Vet Hospital scanned my dog "Bella" chip today 7.22.14 this morning at 9 am and that my dog was found! Great new right?! Wrong! When I contacted her less than 10 minutes after receiving the call she stated that she doesn't have my dog and the "teens" left with it. She states that she gave them all my information and hoped it was up to date. Wait what?! So instead of contacting me directly you gave whomever all my info, did not contact me, A... read more
I would never go back to Glen Oak Dog & Cat Hospital! Two "doctors" that own this hospital are super insensitive, ignorant, and overcharge you when you come in just for an annual check up. The staff there is really nice but other than that, the place is a nightmare! The practice is out of date (no digital xrays, records are all hand-written) and the owners are unprofessional. They will try and butter you up, but don't give in! It's just a way to cover up their garbage procedures.
