I am fostering a large breed puppy and she needed a spay. I did some checking around and found out that this veterinarian clinic took the SPCA voucher I purchased for a discounted rate. I was happy to learn that they perform a laparoscopic spay which means less down time. Your pet can run and play the next day. When you arrive at the office you call from your car to announce your arrival. Someone comes to your car and gets your pet. You answer a few questions then the veterinarian speaks with you. The veterinarian, Dr Arie... read more

I love taking my cats here. Out of all of the branches, this one is by far the best. They definitely care about your pets and will do everything they can to help! I've been going here for about a year now.

Business response:

Dear Abigail, Thank you so very much for the great review. Sincerely, Care First Animal Hospital at Oberlin Team

Care First Animal Hospital at Oberlin has cared for our pets for over 25 years, including routine check-ups, dental care, training, grooming, and various injuries. The doctors, veterinary technicians, trainers, and staff are all excellent! I would especially like to thank Dr. Joe Gordon and Bianca Gabriel for their care and empathy during Daisy's last days, as this was such a difficult time for us. We could not have asked for better treatment by anyone, and we are so very much appreciative of them. Carolyn & David Simons,... read more

I had to take my dog here for a hematoma on her ear. My funds weren't exactly in the right place to pay for it all the way. The vets and staff at this location assured me that it would be ok and it was. They offer payment plans and future billing if needed. This was a huge blessing. I had to come back the next day because the ear after being drained filled back up. They waived the fee aside from meds and corrected the issue. I will forever recommend these life savers and you should too! Great rates, exceptional service ... read more

We took out Great Dane puppy here for her spay and while they are VERY busy during drop off they handle it well! They kept me informed throughout the day and her procedure went great.

I have trusted the care of our animals to Dr. Joe Gordon and team at CareFirst for over 30 years. The professional, friendly, genuinely concerned care our crew has received makes me confident that we get the best advice available. I am grateful they are there for us.

I adopted a retired 3 year old greyhound named "Marty" in February of this year. Marty had a few health issues starting with an injured tail called the "happy tail." Dr. Wages performed surgery on the tail, removing a few inches and it healed wonderfully. Still a "happy tail" but in a good way!!!! Next issue was battling intestinal/digestion issues. After seeing Dr. Ashley Peterson, my prayers were answered. Dr. Peterson was so encouraging from the moment she introduced herself. I was so impressed by her manners and g... read more

This vet has been a godsend. My 2 year old cockapoo was attacked in a dog park last year and I arrived in hysterics holding my hurt pup and was immediately ushered into a room and seen by a nurse and a vet. They were insanely calming and re-assuring and my dog was taken immediately into surgery. The whole process took maybe 2-3 hours tops including my dogs surgery and in-office recovery time. We also take our 5 year old boxer mix here and she absolutely LOVES it -- despite the fact that she is getting a check up or shot... read more

My five month old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix LOVES Carefirst. She goes here for vet care As well as puppy training and day care. She get so excited every time we drive up and everyone remembers her and loves on her! I do wish the dogs spent more time outside rather than in crates...but I trust the people she's with and I like that she's at a vet while at daycare. The prices for daycare are higher than those in the area that provide webcams and more play time so that is something to determine on your own what works best. But I do l... read more
