I loved my experience here. I brought my cat in for a routine exam. The vet/tech discussed with me how much it would be first based on everything that I wanted done and any concerns that I had. The price was very reasonable and not too expensive. They were gentle, caring, and thorough. Everyone was so nice. The place was clean from the waiting room and especially the exam room! They could not have been more compassionate or understanding in diagnosing and managing my dog’s heart issues, they took every step to assure my senior pup was comfortable during testing and talked me through end-of-life transition options with empathy and patience. The medicine has helped tremendously and she is still able to enjoy life at the moment, I just could not be more grateful to the staff at First Care.
This is my first and last visit with the Oberlin location. I told them in advance that my dog has severe anxiety and requires a lot of patience when caring for him. I did not realize they had 2 locations and my appt was for Glenwood, so when I arrived and realized I was at the wrong one, they told me they would take my dog in at Oberlin instead. Dr. Consol provides the best care for our dog, Blue. He has anxiety issues but she is always patient with him. She also did his neuter with a surgery for his cherry eye. She knew we were nervous, so she made sure we were well-informed on our options. Blue has not had a reappearance of the cherry eye or any issues with his eye at all since the surgery last year! Doggy day care here is also wonderful. Can’t recommend Carefirst enough :)
Love love love Dr Joe and his team. Such wonderful people! They have care for our furry family members for nearly 25 years! Update: 4-2023 Still the BEST vet in the area. Puppers are there right now for a much needed spa day. We are really looking forward to the opening of the new hospital!! Update 62023. Dropped the girls off today for a spa day.
