We have been taking our cats to Dr. Hall for around 4 years. Dr. Hall has always provided all three of our cats excellent care. He has a great bed-side manner with our cats, even Zoe, who has always been a Tasmanian devil with other vets. His office goes above and beyond to make sure that our cats are properly treated for their dental problems. In fact, the first time I took them there, they were able to correct problems created by past sub-standard dental care. All three of our cats are elderly and have various health p... read more
Heartbroken, betrayed, and left with a $6,305.73 bill -- my 6-year-old dog was left nearly toothless!!!! I took my 6-year-old Maltese to Dr. Hall at Animal Dental Clinic after Banfield (our trusted vet for 6 years) referred us to a veterinary dentist. Combo needed dental work and likely a few extractions. We were told to find an oral surgeon, and I chose Dr. Hall's clinic only because it was nearby -- I deeply regret not reading the reviews. During the consultation (which cost $200 and wasn't applied toward any service), D... read more
The day I took my dog in, the veterinarian was very attentive. I took my dog back for teeth cleaning. During the procedure, gum issues were noted and I gave an ok to gum surgery. $3300.0 A few weeks later, I called the office as my dog's breath was still terrible. I was told to keep brushing her teeth. Weeks later, I called about the terrible breath and I would like to have her checked. As it was now 8 weeks, there would be a consult charge. During those 8 weeks, there was Xmas, New Year's and 2 snow events. I could no... read more
BEWARE! Worst experience ever! ZERO STARS. Dr. Hall is rude and condescending and just doesn't care. He does not foster an environment where you can feel comfortable asking questions without getting a nasty response and attitude from him. I will drive 50 miles elsewhere before ever going back to this place. On top of that, I did some research afterwards and it turns out that this guy has reprimands from the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine where he didn't use the basic standard of care and DOGS DIED!!! It's public infor... read more
In response to the practice managers reply: Thank you for acknowledging and replying to my review but some of your wording is misleading. I'm not going to go back and forth or address everything but I will respond to 3 main things: 1. If I was verbally told about your non-refundable policy then we wouldn't be here right now. 2. I obviously had the money to pay or you wouldn't have scheduled my appointment. Who expects to pay a $500 deposit when they're calling to schedule an appointment. I simply had to grab my credit car... read more
I scheduled my pet for a dental evaluation with Dr. Hall. When we arrived, the lady who greeted us was wonderful and she took us back into an exam room to get my pet's vital information. She was very nice and gentle with my pet. Dr. Hall came in a short time later. I am trying to be fair here, so I will just say that he did not impress me very well. I thought he was arrogant and I did not think he and I communicated very well. Dr. Hall seemed more interested in talking to my husband about our pet rather than to me. T... read more
I have been bringing my cats here for decades for dental cleaning, extractions, surgeries. Yesterday, I canceled an appointment for today and they billed me $500.00 for not giving them a two day notice. Like they are open on the weekends? I am appalled at how they have treated me after all these years. So much for caring about your client. Never again. Only money counts here.
Dr. Hall caused my dog needless pain and charged me for procedures I did not authorize (charging me over $4000). Do not take your pets here! This office was under investigation by the Department of Health Professions of Virginia. Numerous clients of Dr. Hall filed complaints regarding his poor treatment of dogs and cats. If you decide to go to his office for a consultation, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. Ask questions and get second opinions from other veterinarians. The office is condescending and aggressive with treatment. They... read more
If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. My dog underwent surgery on SEP 12 for an oral fistula. Two days later the stitches came undone. The doctor and his team stated they could repair her oral fistula stitches in Oct for an additional ~$1,900. On OCT 2, my dog had the second surgery. The next day we rushed her to the ER after she was hardly breathing and moving. She died on OCT 3. Please do your research before coming here. I hardly ever write reviews on businesses but feel so strongly t... read more
