The procedure was a cleaning and with our scares about any kind of general anesthesia, we are glad our dog survived this. The practice is very small staffed and the 1 front desk lady does everything from medical records to dealing with all customer concerns/complaints/questions, relaying messages to the doctor, records, etc. We got the feeling that the practice is stressed out for extra resources in general, and interaction with customers comes across as such, strained. The front desk woman is very arrogant and offensive an... read more
Initially, things were going well with my dog's consultation. Dr. Hall was giving a pretty good explanation of what was needed and how he'd proceed. However, things started to go South once I had questions. Maybe he doesn't like being questioned and we're just supposed to take his word as gospel. At one point I asked him about blood work concerns from our vet and he glanced at the report and told me that my vet obviously doesn't know what she's doing and that just because someone has a veterinarian license doesn't mean they ... read more
My cat had full mouth extractions a few years ago and I'm writing this review now because I was under the impression that Dr. Hall stopped practicing shortly after. DR. HALL IS AWFUL! As a dental professional I was horrified that I ever left my cat in his care. Went in for our check up after surgery and I had some concerns. I couldn't hold my cat and check his extraction sites by myself. When I held him for Dr. Hall, he informed me that my cats LOWER JAW BONE WAS EXPOSED and the stitches dissolved. After confirming that ... read more
I will not return to this clinic and would drive hours elsewhere if I ever needed a canine dentist. I am not and never will be fan of unnecessary procedures, as was proposed by Dr. Hall. Always be cautious of a doctor that instructs you not to feed your dog before his visit because he may need to be put under anesthesia - BEFORE THEY EVEN SEE THE DOG. Most disturbing, however, was the hard sell through fear tactics. Sure, things could be wrong, but wouldn't we want something to be symptomatic first? I brought my dog in ... read more
My pet had extractions at this dentist. I absolutely would not recommend this facility. Vet went on vacation day before major surgery without notifying me so that I could have scheduled surgery for after his return. Immense complications in his absence and a cold "referral" to a list of other available vet dentists in metro area; pet endured terrible 10/10 pain. Thank heavens for my regular vet who stepped in and saved my pet. I am still traumatized by the callous attitude and indifference to my animal's suffering. NEV... read more
My sheltie had gingival hyperplasia , an autoimmune related disorder where growths would crop up all over his mouth at the gum line. Annually, he had to undergo anesthesia for surgical removal of the growths. I faithfully brushed his teeth every night to make sure plaque would not build up, as that caused the growths to grow even more quickly. After numerous procedures over many years, all done with skill and at reasonable prices by my regular vets, I decided to take him to Dr. Hall at the Dental Vet. The first year he... read more
It's unfortunate that this is about the only place there is to take dogs that need special dental work. We had an appointment at 7:30. We arrived at 7:25. We could hear him in another room doing a 'consult' with another customer for 30 minutes completely ignoring our appointment. We left because I had a meeting to go to. He called us 15 minutes after we left. That was unbelievably rude to set up an appointment and then be late for it. My Medical doctor doesn't even do that.
I see that the Animal Dental Clinic has replied to this review..and for CLARIFICATION...YES I DID ask for the Military discount in my first phone call..and was told to request it from the doctor. Yes, my original bill was estimated at 2000$ and without ANY warning ended up being 4500$. The "Extortion Part is a LIE!!" plain and simple!!! I never offered to change my review to an A or B...in exchange for a discount! I wouldn't chance it to an A or B for all the money in the WORLD! I will actually POST that part of the emai... read more
I brought my 2 kitties in to see Dr. Hall on Feb. 2nd, 2012. Sabastian, my Russian Blue mix kitty was there for his 1 year follow up from his 3 teeth extracted. Thank goodness only a cleaning this time for my "boy". My other kitty, Charity, DSH, was at the clinic for her first dental visit. I was only expecting a cleaning for her as well, but was shocked to hear that Charity would need 9 teeth extracted. I couldn't believe that this kitty of about 3-4 yrs of age, not exactly sure because she was a rescue, would need that man... read more
