I have yet to meet a Vet on this planet that cares about animals as much Soltero Sr. (who is retired) and Dr. Ketchmark. Dr. K has become the only Vet I trust and will take any of my animals to even when I lived outside of the Valley and had to travel 7.5 hours. He is irreplaceable. I'm sure there are other good ones but I have yet to see one who genuinely cares about an animals health first, has no fear, is honest, and can make the most fearful animal comfortable. They are amazing. Really nice people and will always be a place I will drive out of my way to see. I live an hour or so away and I will drive that every time for my Doberman because they truly will take care of her ^_^
Dr Soltero did both my giant Schnauzers ears. One of them is already standing upright after two weeks! He's very good at ear cropping this is my third dog getting cropped at his place! Great caring staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else for cropping.
I moved here from Ohio and did not have a primary veterinarian set up. My cat was having eye issues so I called Saguaro because it was very close to my apartment. I called right when they opened and they were able to squeeze me in a few hours later. I only had to wait a few minutes in the lobby after my scheduled appointment time. The vet was very friendly and actually seemed to care about the issue my cat was having. My bill was very reasonable. I have found my veterinarian in Scottsdale.
I moved to Central Phoenix and changed veterinarians but now I am more than willing to drive across town to see the delightful Dr. Mike or his father Dr. Rick. The staff is wonderful too and it is top quality care at affordable prices.
Called 3 places to see if they'll remove ticks off an infested dog. (Not mine). Every place declined. Saguaro made a last minute appt and they have been pulling what seems to be a countless # (over 500) ticks. They've been pulling them off for over an hour. Their thoroughness and diligence is not being overlooked and neither is this poor pup! Thank you Dr Ketchmark and Amber for your hard work!
I love Saguaro Veterinary Clinic. I have been taking my dogs there since 1995 when I first moved to Arizona. They are fantastic to work with and all the doctors are wonderful especially Dr. Mike who has helped me through some very difficult moments and decisions. The office staff tries really hard to make you comfortable.
I'm going with 5 stars on this place because it is exactly what I want for vet care. If you're looking for a fabulous building well appointed and a luxury North Scottsdale experience, move on. There is no pet spa here. If you want reasonable, solid care for your pet, this is your place. They've always been on time for me. Dr John is a nice dude. No nonsense kinda guy. That was a great office visit for a check up with my 10-year-old lab. Dr. John and his staff were very caring and listened and they gave excellent advice
