very happy with the care my sweet "newly senior" pittie girl Lux has received at the hands of dr. brianna. she takes her time to answer all my asinine questions and seeks the best solutions to any medical conundrums i throw her way, and has always tried to keep our costs low, despite the sometimes astronomical nature of veterinary bills. all of the staff that i've dealt with is always kind and pleasant (special mention goes to karen, their office manager) and i really appreciate their "fear free practice" approach. Dr. Tom is amazing. We started taking our 5 year old labradoodle there and shortly after her first visit her allergies significantly improved, she was vomiting (a lot) less often, and a small benign tumor on her neck shrank to the point it's almost gone. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not enough good things to say about this doctor, the staff, and the rest of the practice.
Always very pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately my pup wasn't a big fan of going there so that's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.
In this terribly uncertain time, it has been such a relief to find City By The Sea Vet. Dr. Tom, Dr. Brianna, Jaime, Samantha, Karen and the entire team is so kind, supportive, and communicative. Dr. Tom put us at great ease as we waited biopsy results (with good news at the end!) and the dental surgery on my little pup went perfectly. We are so happy to have found a vet we love and that Pappy seems to love too! Thank You all so much!
From the reception greeting to detailed and fully informative report by veterinarian, this experience was warm and professional. Fees are reasonable and expertise tops. Great people and good value.

We brought in a 17 year old cat who is frightened of everything and mostly veterinarians to City by the Sea. We are new to the area and saw a compelling review on Dr. Tom and the clinic and decided to try our luck. The staff was wonderful and very accommodative to our needs. Dr Caltabilota was gentle, compassionate, spent time with us and his recommendations were right in line with what I hoped a vet would state regarding a cat near the end of her life. Had a recent medical situation with our 11 year old cat. We originally met with the veterinarian we used for years but were not happy with their response. My daughter found City By The Sea and after several phone calls we were able to bring our cat in and have the procedure attended to promptly. Dr. Caltabilota and the staff were all professional and concerned for our pet. The facility is clean, easy to get to, and friendly. I hope to not be in this situation again but will definitely be using City By The Sea for our future ... read more
We love Dr. Tom and he loves our puppies (now 2 yrs old), but still puppies! We met him 4 years ago in Red Bank Animal Hospital and then again at our old veterinary office. He is a wonderful vet and is so compassionate and knowledgeable. Our dogs are not at all anxious when coming to see Dr. Tom. My husband and I are very glad we picked Dr Tom to be our dog's veterinarian.
