extremely overrated and over priced, we just took our 2 dogs for a booster shot and got charged for a tech check,( both dogs were seen and vet checked 21 days ago), we were told on our way out that all is square no further charges, then the phone rang ,and we were told we owe $140. for the Tech check, (we're done, )PS the vet during our initial check up 21 days ago told us to save up our money in case our small dog ever needed her teeth cleaned , in which her teeth are immaculate , absolutely no bedside manners or class.

Well, I thought this would be a good place to take my pets, but after a few visirts learned that it is all abour the $$. They will sell you overpriced products, which is fine. My bad. But what fionally drove me away from this vet can only be called incompetence. I called for a refill of a prescription for my dog who suffers from staph infections. I placed my review two months ago and still have never heard from this place. They do good work but their lack of communication is extremely poor. I still don't know why my dog went in for 1-2 teeth extractions and came out with eleven teeth removed. The vet has never called us and all we heard from the front desk when we picked up our dog is it must have been necessary or they wouldn't have been extracted. Gee, thanks...

I'm waiting outside of the SOVSC writing this review. I am only here because the Animal Hospital of Grants Pass cannot service their clients. This is the second time this has happened to me and I'm going to be changing vets. I chose the Animal Hospital of Grants Pass because it was the only one I could originally get into. I now understand why. They irresponsibly accept more patients than they have the capacity to support. I've needed them twice and both times they were beyond useless. Normally I'm not the type of person to write negative Yelp reviews. But after what happened with our dog, I am absolutely furious and disgusted. Take this as a warning if you are considering bringing your own pets here for treatment. A few months ago our dog developed a growth on his leg. We took him into the vet, who assured us that it was nothing to worry about and that it would go away soon. Fast forward to the present, where the growth has developed into a massive tumor. I had a medical emergency for my cat that was very serious. I was recommended by another veterinary to go to this hospital for care. I went and texted my situation in the parking lot as directed by their signs. Got asked, "Who is this" in the text message and that was all. Moments later a woman walks out and asks me, "Are you from California?" apparently because my plates for my car are still California. I just moved here. Why was this the first question asked to me? I used Valley Animal Hospital's services for a dog I had many years ago without a problem. When I got pets again in the last couple of years I took them to Valley Animal Hospital because they had been good before. But two incidents in the last couple of years have caused me to go elsewhere. First, I took our cat in because he was losing weight. I'm updating my review because I took my new dog back here to get neutered and for the high expense you really get the bare minimum. I'm extremely surprised they don't give those cones out anymore especially for a surgical procedure that is so specific about not allowing the dog to lick.
