The staff is super friendly and sweet to us and the pets, however, this place is suuuuuper expensive and won't tell you everything unless you really dig for it and know what questions to ask. Went in to get my cat spayed and it ended up costing $620. The procedure itself was $85 and we talked about her getting a distemper vaccine and that's it. I Have 2 Great Danes. She diagnosis both dogs with Lyme Disease She never met with me and this incorrect diagnosis cost me 1000s of dollars. She did Blood and later Urine tests and she said both Abby's Lyme tests were positive. She had Abby taking 11 pills a day, till Abby was pooping blood and I took the dog to the emergency Veterinary Hospital. It took 1/2 the year but I finally got her to refer us to NC State. I am beyond disappointed with the way this practice handled an outstanding bill we had. Our dog was having a lot of discomfort when eating so we had dental work done on him with 5 extractions. Dental is not covered by insurance and we knew it would be costly. We had first said we would pay half and then another half. The print out I received said the remainder was a different amount that they told me later on and they said there was a glitch in their system when it printed out. I left this vet two years ago after experiencing MANY issues. Most of the mistakes were made by the revolving door of vet techs and front desk people. I had always had a great relationship with Dr. Harper and stayed way longer than my gutt told me I should have, out of loyalty to her. I was dropping my dog to TR for the weekend. As I came in, Dr. Kelly approached me unexpectedly in regards to my dog being uneasy at her visit last month (biting at the cages and drooling). Dr. Kelly asked if she could give my dog Xanax to calm her down. I was a little taken back that a vet would immediately go to medicine for my dog and not figure out another solution first. There should be an option for zero stars! We just got a puppy. I called this vet office to obtain some information about the vet puppy process. The young woman answered the phone and did not state her name (now I see why). She was lazy and would not answer just a few of my questions. She was very quick to get off of the phone with me. Went to get shots and 2nd opinion $300 later. My dog did not receive any shots and she is behaving stranger than before. Labs done other testing was not requested. Disappointed with service received. When calling the office no call back. 2nd call Just bring you dog in so we can try to figure out what's going on.

This is a review of the kennel services, not the vet. When I scheduled to have my dog at the kennel, I said I would pick her up on a Saturday afternoon. Turns out they aren't open on Saturday afternoon...or Sunday. So I would have had to pay an extra day (two days if I hadn't picked my dog up between 8 and 9 on Monday) if I hadn't complained. They also informed me when I dropped my dog off that she was behind on her kennel cough vaccine and that they would vaccinate her. I had asked them to call me if there was an issue ... read more

We had a vet in GA that would always fit our pets in when they were sick but obviously this isn't the case with this vet. Our 13 year old dog was vomiting quite a bit over the weekend and again on Monday. When we called the vet and explained this we were told the earliest they could see her was the next day at 4:30, nearly 30 hours later.
