I took in 2 dogs for rabies vac on a Sunday. They're open on weekends, a plus. 2 days later I learned my new groomer requires distemper & bordatella so I get those vaccines for both dogs. At home, About an hour later my 1 dogs started vomiting, diarrhea, and I noticed her face was swelling. I called and tell them and their response is " well the dr will be gone from 1-2. Really! He can't wait until I get there or get another dr to come in? No mam is their only response. I ask well should I give benedryl? This was unaccept... read more

The two stars are strictly for the vets that have been great. And if I'm being honest, I feel it's a bit generous as a whole. I've been going here for a couple years, but the more I go the less I want to, and I've decided to change vets for good, here's why: My first visit with them was to spay a rescue I just got- who they took in, and a few hours later called me to bring him back home because he was howling. Took my 3 dogs to have their heart worm test done so we could order Trifexis from Chewy.com. I order from Chewy.com because They are 50% cheaper and Pet Vet does not price match with them. It has been two days now and Pet Vet on Bay Area has not faxed the records back to Chewy. I cannot receive my dog's heart guard medication until this is completed. We have been a customer for almost 20 years and the last couple of visits are not favorable. Dr C. Wahlgren has no business treating animals - he is angry and rude - first time we took our 40 pound rescue pup there for an ear issue - he stood back and said - damn I am in no way getting bit - all the while she is playing with the techs - she sensed his attitude- so we had to pay 100 dollars the next day to have her sedated - we did - now he prescribed a pill to chill her out 45 minuets prior to visit and AGAIN stood back an... read more

I took my Guinness in because we noticed his front teeth were gone, well it turned out he had bitten something and half of his tooth was left inside his gums. they gave him antibiotics and pain medicine and said they would see him in two weeks to determine if he would need surgery or not. After getting my dogs yearly checkup, the vet said my dog needed his teeth cleaned or he would lose teeth. The dog is 11 and has never had his teeth cleaned. I asked how much it would be as was quoted $243 if there were no extractions. I would also have the option to get pain medicine for $30. I said I didn't want any additional work done, just clean his teeth. The vet called and said 4 teeth were gone and the roots needed to be removed. The cost was $10 each. Let me be as fair as I can be. The vet techs are nice, and can be very helpful with providing information to new pet owners such as myself. However, I took my newly rescued kitten in 3 different times in the same week, and was told she was reasonably healthy. This morning my kitten was lethargic, and uninterested in food or water, and the vet here couldn't see her for two hours from when I called. This place is horrible! Do not take your animals here, I'm begging you. They saw my 7 week old kitten four times in one week and couldn't catch the fact that she had a parasite and was SEVERELY dehydrated! They were going to just let her die, supposedly trained vets couldn't catch this. I'm so disappointed.
