I took my dog in to Heartland less than 16 hours after leaving Hawthorne animal hospital for an emergency visit. I had never been to Heartland before, but was referred by my vet who could not get me in that day. Unlike Hawthorne, Dr Ohms took the time to actually listen to what I was saying and go the extra mile to check everything on my dog when Hawthorne did not. Had an elderly cat with a suspected UTI and could have been really bad because going out of town. They got her right in and took care of her. Dr. Ohms was very nice and made me feel at ease. The front desk lady and the assistant were so nice. I’d definitely recommend going here. Shout out to Bethalto Animal Clinic for referral.
Small staffed and they provide the home town feeling you expect
I really couldn’t recommend this place enough. Dr. Ohms has saved my dog a few times and he healed up immediately!

All of the staff was so kind, as well as Dr. Ohms. You could tell he was knowledgeable and cared about what was best for my kitty. Great experience
