Dr. FitzSimons is the smartest, most honest and direct Veterinarian I know. He accurately diagnosed and treated my old cat Druid's chronic health problem and saved his life! As a pediatrician, I have pretty high standards.

We took my wife's 16.5 year old dog here recently since we just moved to the area. Amazing staff and doctors. She had a mass in her stomach that was so large and due to her age, surgery was an iffy option. Dr. Martinez gave me all the options and told me straight when I asked him to give me the straight forward opinion. Ultimately, we decided to euthanize her yesterday. Dr. FitzSimmons is an amazing person and doctor with the way he handles his job. Thank you to everyone there Pam, Brandy, Dr. Martinez and Dr. FitzSimmons fo... read more

As a new patient to this office, my new kitten Gibson saw Dr. Heather yesterday. Gibson was feral and had an infection and was dehydrated. Dr. H performed a very thorough examination, gave him fluids and meds and put me at ease with my new fur baby. I was very pleased with the friendly front office staff as well. I felt very welcome and of course Gibson did too. Thank you CVC!

I recently had to put down my baby cat. She had a mass in her chest. I had already lost 2 over the past year and didn't think I could make the decision to put her down. They made an unbearable time for me somewhat bearable. They were kinder than any vet I have ever dealt with. Their compassion and thoughtfulness was beyond compare. I highly recommend them for all of your pets needs. I will see no one else with my babies.

I've been taking my Welsh Corgi there for the last 7 years. They are highly professional and very accommodating. I don't know how they do it but my dog gets all excited when he realizes that he is at the vet. They all know him and spoil him rotten. And I don't think that it's because he is so personable, but I feel that they really care. They take practicing veterinarian medicine to the highest level. Kudos to Dr FitzSimons and his entire crew.

I am the proud owner of a huge Landseer Newfoundland and often need grooming for the day I call and was able to get an appointment right away. The vet clinic is close to my house so I was able to arrive within moments of speaking with them. I was greeted by three very friendly ladies in the front and then the groomer came to look at my dog. She gave me an unbelievable reasonable price and got to work right away. When I went to pick her up I was greeted with A beautiful well groomed and very happy dog. I went ahead and made ... read more

Both Dr. FitzSimons and Dr. Heather Harkins are amazing. We have had as many as 10 cats and they have helped us keep them well. Our last cat died, but Dr. Harkins worked so hard to keep him alive. She really cared about him and how much this was affecting me. There is not much more to add except to agree with all of the positive remarks of the other reviews. I am totally happy with Cumming Veterinary Clinic. The staff is wonderful! Dr. FitzSimons is kind and willing to to work financially with patients on a case by c... read more

I first met Dr. FitzSimons a social function with some friends. In casual conversation I asked him why he decided to become a vet and his response was along the lines of him having enough training to become an MD, but feeling that animals were more worthy of his time than people because that's what he loves. My sister was a vet tech and had trained me on what to look for in a vet and Jim met all of the qualifications. I was looking for a vet at the time and even-though I lived in Norcross at the time the drive was worth ... read more

We recently moved from the Virginia Highland neighborhood in Atlanta to Cumming. Although we've all been quite happy with this move, no one is happier than our four-legged son! We had been taking him to what is, supposedly, one of the best veterinary clinics in Atlanta, and we were always happy with our service. We planned to keep using this vet, but knew we needed to find some local options in case of emergency. Emergency eventually struck last night in the form of a horrendous ear infection that left us all without sleep... read more
