The staff at the Tryon - Care First Animal Hospital showed utmost compassion during my recent visit. The purpose of the visit was to say a reluctant but necessary goodbye to our sweet dog of over 14 years. Each staff member, including the doctor, demonstrated sincere empathy. The procedure was professional and gentle. We received a condolence card handwritten by each staff member, which is cherished by me and my wife. I can’t say enough great things about the Cary location of Care first. I came to them with my dearest pet in kidney failure after another vet was ready to put him down. I knew he didn’t have long left but he lived a happy 8 more weeks purrrs & snuggles. They helped him, because they could see he was still in good spirits. On his passing the passion & care they gave was outstanding. The staff is great & they really listen to what your wishes are.
All 3 of my pets go here and love it just as much as I do! Dr.Peterson and Cook see my corgi and cat and Dr.Craven has done surgery on my husky who is living her best life pain free thanks to her. I first came to this location with my husky puppy I adopted from the shelter who was limping. I brought her to see Dr.Craven who diagnosed her with a very serious luxating patella and It seemed to be causing her pain which was leading to aggression and anxiety. We have 4 Tamaskan dogs (huge and scary looking), and we wouldn’t trust them with anyone else! We could probably afford a second home by now with how much we spend here with so many dogs, but the prices are ALWAYS fair. We have never felt taken advantage of, because we know our boys always receive the best care. We’ve seen some very rare and scary things go through our pack, pneumonia, compacted sand in a puppy stomach, 2 rare anal gland bacterial infections, kidney disease, bee stings, cancer, lumps, you name it! Amazing vet! They take such great care of Dash every time I visit. Dr. Peterson shows such passion and dedication to my pup and helping me understand any condition he might have. She really takes time to listen and thoroughly answers all my questions. Highly recommend!
