I've been taking my rescue dog, Nash, to this vet since I moved to the area 7 years ago, and I've been happy with their service every time. The techs and vets have been very gentle and understanding with his extreme nervousness during appointments, allowing me to help keep him calm and still and not misjudging him as aggressive due to his breed. They follow up after appointments to make sure he's continuing to do well. Recently he's been quite sick, and Dr. Craven and Dr. Peterson both seemed to be concerned with his quality... read more
As someone who has had terrible experiences with a few other Raleigh veterinary practices, I am SO relieved to have finally switched to one I trust: Care First at Tryon. I began bringing my two dogs and cat to this location when one of my dogs had recently been diagnosed with terminal bladder cancer, and I wanted to make sure she was in the best hands possible for a very vulnerable, difficult time ahead. Dr Craven and her team (I have so far worked with vet techs Dylan and Rosamond, and one other I regretfully didn't catch... read more
I had to take Charlie Bear to Care First this morning. I can not write enough of the great service provided to Charlie Bear. I made the appointment this morning and was able to bring Charlie Bear this morning. Mignel is always so helpful on Charlie Bears visits to Care First. I can't say enough about the care Mignel provides when interacting with the owner as well as handling of Charlie Bear. As with Dr. Craven on the previous visit and today's visit with Dr. Peterson both are very professional and are great when provi... read more
We had been taking our Boxer here since we moved to the area a little over a year ago. She had been diagnosed with cancer but they still did what they could for her to keep her happy. When the time came and the pain started to become too much for her, we knew where we wanted to take her. From the initial phone call all the way through the day after, they were perfect in every respect. Today when the sympathy flowers came, I knew we made the right choice. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
LOVE THEM! They really love our pets and are always so nice. Their prices are fair, and I've never felt like I was being talked into something my dog didn't need. The staff and doctors are all wonderful. The grooming services are great too!
Wow, what a great veterinary clinic. The front desk staff and vet techs are so caring. You can just tell everyone there loves animals. The vets are so nice, explain things thoroughly, and they even email follow-up comments sometimes. Sometimes they are really busy and it takes a long time to get through, but they also have to deal with emergencies from time to time which of course backs them up. My dog has some behavioral issues, so they let me go into a room pretty quickly when I come in so my dog doesn't make other dog own... read more
I have never been to your clinic but I must say I am very impressed with the kindness that you showed my friend Susan Carroll and her kitty Ash. Ms. Maria I spoke to you today, and thank you for your kindness as well. To be so thoughtful by sending flowers and doing a paw print for her really means alot and shows me that there are people out there with a loving compassion for others. We are sad that Ash has crossed the rainbow bridge but he's not hurting anymore. So again sincerely thank you for your kindness and attention ... read more
Brought my 10 year dog here on Sept 30 2024, for a first visit check up as we are new to the state. Our vet records were already requested but had not been transfered yet. Saw the Vet Craven and she gave my dog a thorough exam. She was due for some shots but we weren't sure if her Rabie shot the prior year was a 1 year or 3 year vaccine, she recommended we wait for the records and said the return visit she would just need to see the Tech. The return visit was scheduled for 3 weeks. 3 weeks later I show up and Vet Peterson c... read more
Never bring your animal to Care First. We brought our dog there to be neutered, and the veterinarian, Deirdre Craven, killed him in surgery. As he was dying on the operating table, she wasnt even compassionate, but instead seemed to be annoyed and confrontational with us for asking queations and trying to figure out what might be possible to save him. People like that should not be working with any living beings.
