Very uncommunicative staff. We arrived and were seated in a room, there appeared to be only one other client there. After about an hour a tech came in to ask what our pet was there for, then said he would send the vet in. Two hours later, no contact from anyone except when we went out to ask and were told they had an emergency coming in, we left. 3 hours. Got there at 4:30, left at 7:30 because the vet leaves at 8 and our pet needed blood work that wouldn't be ready by then.

The wait was to long even tho we had appointment. They are very expensive. They charge $37 to trim your pets nails. Why so much for a five a 5 minute job?? it should be included with the office visit or not charge that kind of price. The worst part was how dirty the examination room was. There was so much dog hair and dirt in the floor It looked like it had not been cleaned in a week. It was very unsanitary. People cannot afford to take care of their pets because like everything else prices are outrageous.

just wanted to share my experience with the vet on 4th. I decided to visit after my vet left unexpectedly and found myself without care for my baby. He was treated for a back injury. He was finally able to regain most of his mobility. He suddenly became ill with vomiting. thought it was one of new prescriptions that had been prescribed. took him in for check and changed meds. He became worse and stopped eating. took him back in and they said the best thing would be euthanasia due to his other health issues. the vet said if I... read more

Vet on 4th treated my pets very well . . . I was even given a "home remedy" shall I say, to help prevent some of their skin problems. I do, however, caution new patients about "hidden fees" The Vet on 4th may try or will impose. Be absolutely complete in submission of your pet's medical history--unless it's an emergency, wait for Vet on 4th to VERIFY that your records are complete to their satisfaction. Oh, speaking of wait--wait time was a bit long.

Several months ago, I took my dog in about 9:30 PM with a snake bite. They are open 7 days a week, 7am to 11pm, according to the hours posted. I took my dog inside, told them what was going on, and they were walking in circles trying to decide what to do with me. After several minutes of NOTHING, they told me the vets all like to leave at 9pm and they couldn't really do anything for me. So why advertise they are open until 11pm? They finally SENT ME AWAY to go to the Emergency Pet Clinic on Gilmer Road, where I did go and... read more

We took our dog to get his Rabies shot, kennel shot, he had an ear infection and skin tags. I was told 145.00. But they tricked me with a dog and pony con. My wife had called and told them what was needed. I was just the driver. They had their pwn agenda, to up charge. I have never been to a vet before where they took the dog out of the room to another room without me and ran the test and gave him shots. How do I know he got the shots? They lied about everything else. My wife called angry after I text her how much it was go... read more

Dog and Pony show to up charge you. Vet Scammers. Horrible place. After looking on google found out the doctor had let his license go and got caught. My dog had gone there a year ago. We took him for his Rabies shot and Kennel Cough shot, he had an ear infection and skin tags. I got an initial estimate of $145 dollars. Then my husband took my dog there and He was given a sheet of paper with all sorts of tests and shots including Parvo. I had relayed to the vet clinic over the telephone that we had bad experiences with the P... read more

I am ONLY giving The Vet on 4th, in Longview, TX, a 2 rating because my dog did get the medication she needed for her allergies, and for that I am thankful. However, I paid over $550 only to be patronized by the Veterinarian, Dr. Dumeyer. She made me feel like she thought I was lying to her and/or I didn't know what I was talking about. I love my dog and care for her to the best of my ability. She has environmental allergies and has to be treated every 6 months or so for same. I've spent a lot of money on her treatment, beca... read more
