My bird had his annual check up. He also had a nail trim. The Dr. and the staff were knowledge and very gentle.
My cat Margaret passed away last week. Gentle Vet did everything they could to save her. When my partner and I had to say goodbye Dr Gessner was indescribably kind, respectful, and supportive of Margaret and us. I am writing this review today because I just received a condolence card from Gentle Vet signed by Dr Gessner and what looks like the entire team. It means a great deal that they took the time to recognize Margaret; that, to them, every pet is unique and worthy.
Thank you to the staff at Gentle Vet for getting my sick baby in when his own vet wouldn't. All of the staff from the desk staff to Dr Gessner treated him with empathy and care. God Bless all of you.

It's extremely difficult finding an exotic vet in Door County who treats birds, specifically chickens. Dr. Gray is knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his work. It's always a pleasure when we bring one of our "girls" (hens) to his office. I could not recommend Dr. Gray and his staff more!
Took my cat there for a tumor. He was scared and got a bit feisty but the staff seems to know how to handle him. They talked to him and tried to comfort rub him. He turns out to be fine, it was just a fatty tissue.
The staff at Gentle Vet are absolutely amazing. The receptionists and technicians/assistants are always so caring and helpful. All of the doctors go above and beyond for their patients; especially Dr. Gessner. She is absolutely amazing and she has saved a few pets of mine. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets, and the pet parents. Refused service to disabled long-time customer with pet in dire need of veterinary care, solely because client could not physically wear "covid" mask, refused to make accommodations while pet was suffering incredibly. Family had to drive pet to different veterinary clinic, where it died. No apology from Gentle Vet owner or staff. We will NEVER forget the sadistic lack of humanity exhibited by "Gentle Vet" after many years of giving them business as good customers. Stay away from this place. If you disagree with them they will take it out on your pet. They over charge. They add exam fees just to do pre surgery blood work. Even though your pet was just examined. And if you complain they surgery is now cancelled
