I've been taking my pup here since he was just over 8 weeks old. This is the best veterinary practice in town. All the vets are excellent and our favorite is Dr. Bertsch. Both locations are super clean and sterile and I've always been happy with how they handle my (many!) calls to ask questions about my pup. Unlike other vets, they give you the real deal over the phone, so they don't automatically default to having you spend time and money coming in unless it's necessary. Went in on NYE at noon when basically everyone was on lunch because my dog had a seizure for the first time and I was FREAKED. She was stable by the time we got there but a vet and a vet tech still put aside their lunch so they could examine Lacey as well as talk and calm me down from the scary experience. They talked me through the possibilities, gave me many options, and even friended my other dog who had to come with us so she didn't chew anything up in our absence. I used to really like this Vet. My dogs are picky and they liked the techs here. My whole opinion of them changed when I rushed my dog into them and said he can't breathe. I handed him to a tech and little did I know, that would be the last time I saw my 7 year old Toy Chihuahua, Prince, who I loved more than anything in the world. I brought my dog in to get medical attention. He was a stray that decided that I was his new owner. I brought him in and he was admittedly a growly non compliant patient. When he showed up at my house a week before he was emacited and his testicles were the size if soft balls. I was told by the vet my dog would be entered into a narrowing fence area...gently squeezing him so that they could administer the meds that he needed before he had surgery. easy to miss if you're heading from the Lafayette direction - you have to make a left in the gap between concrete barriers. prompt service, thoughtful layout with separate entry/exits for animals vet and technician were gentle and thorough good availability - open Saturdays!
