Carson Veterinary Clinic was originally established in 1982 by Dr. Jim Carson III and has proudly been serving the Acadiana area ever since. The founding principles were and still are honesty, integrity, trust and perhaps the biggest of all, customer service. We perform a wide range of advanced diagnostics and surgery as well as annual examinations, vaccines, flea, tick and heartworm prevention as well as boarding. We take pride in our work and are always willing to go above and beyond for you and your pets!

Dr Carson IV and his staff at Carson Animal Hospital did a great job treating my rescue / semi-tame, outside cat (Tiger) that had a moderate injury (initially thought to be small pellet wound) and triaged cat right away upon making the call to the hospital. It turned out to be a case of an abscess infection had started to set in. Dr Carson IV treatment saved this case from certain infection that would have put Tiger in dire need to more treatment had it not been caught early and treated properly. Dr Carson IV and his staff were awesome in getting me in to see Dr Carson IV with an outside cat that I thought had a severe wound , it turned out it was an abscess that was very treatable with antibiotics and pain medicine. My outside cat was feeling better in no time and is recouping just fine!! Thanks to you and all of your staff !! I would highly recommend Carson Animal Hospital; my vet for over 30 years! Now at the helm Dr. Carson IV!!

We have had our dogs, and one cat, under the care of Dr. Jim Carson since 1979. He has always been first class with our pets, and some of them have been challenged health wise (from needing eye surgery to being born with a bad heart). There is no other person on Earth that I would have wanted taking care of our Fur Family Members.
