This review is based on my interactions with Dr. Tapscott and not any other doctor at this practice. I have been a loyal client for 25+ years. I started seeing Dr. Tapscott when she worked at Burlington Vet and followed her to Tewksbury when she opened her own practice. I believe she is very knowledgeable but her ethics have changed over the years. After several years of taking my older dogs to Best Pets for nail trims and as-needed care, suddenly they decided to require a full physical exam and blood work. Then the nail trim would be no charge. I declined - and then suddenly a nail trim would be $50 per dog instead of the usual $28 I think? When I asked why, the assistant replied that 'a technician would be required'. Huh? What changed? There was always a technician. She could not explain. I hate being negative but had to share my our experience with Best Pet’s and Cooper’s passing. Dr. T insisted she didn’t need to put an IV in to administer the medication. Well as I held Cooper it took her 3 tries to administer the medication with syringe directly into vein. Then to top it off his final breaths lingered longer than it needed.
