All the staff are always thorough and pleasant with keeping patients owner's at ease .. haha . I was last there in 2014 for a dental that was very reasonable . I was over due for a vet visit and met dr smith. I can't say enough positive about my appointment with her . Very kind and thorough in explaining my pets diagnosis, care and further follow up .

I have taken my furry friends here for years. If this was a human doctor they would be the country doctors. The love Animals and the people that work there have lots of furry friends and some did live there... That said... they do prefer to get paid up front and if you say you're short of cash... they won't see your pet. If you need to have your pet seen... dont tell them you're short of cash until after the visit.... They will only accept payments if they have no choice. They have forms for this even ... but only when backe... read more

Our Boston terrier "Noodles" had the most wonderful experience during his visit with Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital. As an owner of a Boston terrier I had high levels of anxiety over having him neutered. Dr. DeMeo did a wonderful job calming our entire family and giving Noodles the best care possible. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

We love Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital! We found AHAH after some pretty thorough research after we moved to Keyport, NJ and bypassed some closer vets to bring Lemon to AH. The staff is helpful and friendly and we loved Dr. Rovere! I never got to meet any of the other doctors, but my husband only had positive things to say about them as well. We were mostly in for well visits (so, infrequently) and Dr. Rovere remembered Lemon every time and did a fantastic job making her feel comfortable! We only left AH because we moved ... read more

This place really is the best. Our rescue dog is a bit of a head case, and needs to be muzzled and restrained while on the exam table. We have never felt anything but welcome here, and they do their best to keep him calm, which we really appreciate. Everyone is so nice and aside from that whole being on the table thing, he loves going. If your dog is really having a hard time, they have a door directly from the parking lot into the exam room. Their prices are so reasonable and they're really there to help. They seem to actua... read more

Dr DeMao is GREAT! We take our two dogs (a Golden Retriever and a Shih Tzu) to her, and she's great. She's young, knowledgeable, kind, and easy to relate to. The surgery she performed on our Golden was wonderful- growths removed, suspicious lesions sent out for pathology review, and scar-free healing. Having been to several other vets over the years, I can recommend her without reservations.

I have gone to AHAH for about 13 years -in fact, I was a customer prior to Dr. Lesniak and Dr. DeMeo taking over the practice. I currently have three dogs and three cats. I have lost a dog and two cats over the last three years (Yes, I know - too many animals)... I have not not been lucky with choosing the healthiest of pets over the years - I have, however, been extremely fortunate to have the best vets (and incredibly caring staff) on the planet. They have been with me through every illness and injury, every death. The con... read more

I can't say enough great things about this Animal Hospital!!! The prices are VERY fair (which is rare for a vet) and they're very caring and gentle with my furry loved ones. I have 3 cats that I take to AHAH, a 7 year old a 2 year old and a 1 year old. About a year ago my 2 year old had a very bad reaction to OTC flea spray and became very ill, I brought her in and was frantic about how sick she was. They were so kind to me and within 24 hours my little lady was almost back to her usual self. Their affiliated emergency hospi... read more

I have been going to Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital since I moved into the area 2 years ago. They are great vets. Like the first commenter mentioned, they are not highly equipped with diagnostic equipment, and they will refer you to the best specialist. However, they are great for all non-specialist needs. They have often accommodated same day requests. Everyone there is extremely pleasant and helpful, and their rates are very reasonable. We absolutely prefer to see them for our vet needs, and then spend the big bucks at... read more
