Brought my dog in for a wellness exam after just rescuing her from the humane society. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Caravaty was great and kept her calm and happy even while giving her shots!
I've been bringing animals to this veterinary office for nearly 40 years ... yes, that is 4-0 years. I really like the new owners - Dr. Pike and Dr. Allen. The techs are super friendly to my dogs, and seem genuinely happy to see them. My only complaint is that they give my dogs too many treats whenever we visit.
We have been going to Aqueduct for more than 3 years now. While I do think that the services are slightly overpriced, my dogs have always been treated wonderfully by the staff. They actually get excited when we pull up. We are now bringing them to doggy daycare, which they love! Plus, whenever they need updated shots, etc. they let you know in advance and it can be done while they are there for the day. I'm not sure what the other reviewer means by lab techs taking the dog. We always see Dr. Pyke unless it's something quick ... read more
I really like Dr. Pike ..he seems genuine. I'm not to crazy about the staff upfront..at times I felt they could be a bit antisocial. The single dosage flea meds are a bit overpriced, if you call other vets you can find flea meds a bit cheaper. I will be taking. My cat here for a check up soon & my dog should be getting fixed. Soon
Sadly, we had to bring our 14 1/2 year old German Shepherd in to be put to sleep last week. We knew that the day was coming and called ahead to find out how much it was going to cost so we could plan for that as well. They gave us the price and the options and we made an appointment. As soon as we arrived with the poor old guy they told us that they were going to have to pay for an additional doctors visit in addition to the cost discussed because we had not been there in over 2 years. When it was all said and done ... read more
Absolutely terrible, I agree. The first thing you see is the front door is filthy, and my daughter and I got a bad case of pink eye after going here. Hmmm, kind of makes you think. Took a sick puppy there and ended up paying a ton of money to keep hydrating him and treating him for worms. Needless to say every time the puppy needed his regular shots I had to pay for an exam in addition to the shots. Little did I know he really only needed one physical and several tech visits as other vets call it. I was sure he wasn't g... read more
Things have really changed in 10+ years here ... Used to go and there was Dr Friendly (no joke ... his real name and he was friendly and interested). Also had Dr Snyder and she was genuinely interested in the animals. Now, the lab techs come in, take the animal from you, give the shots and your on your way. Not sure if Dr Snyder was forced out of here or chose to leave but next vet appt our animals need will be with her at the Balltown Road Animal hospital
I've lost my beloved cat, after rescuing her from the streets, ferreting out her allergies, and finally winning her complete trust. After ingesting some chemical that burned her mouth, so I later learned from the vet, I rushed her to Aqueduct on a Fri. before Labor Day to be saved, to be treated, to return her to my home. Dr. E. first ran a comb through the cats fur and checked her ears before tending to her immediate needs. She took Xrays before even opening her blood smeared mouth. I could have done more. I was in sh... read more
I had my dog fixed there & I must say dr Ellis is very sweet. She talked with & treated me like a human. The the 2 woman at the front were not so nice. It was my first time there & I don't feel welcomed at all. Even when I called to ask questions the woman seemed annoyed with me. I would still like to take my pet there I just hope they change. Smile!!! It's free!!
