We’ve used Maybeck for 10 years until recently when my chihuahua was having a severe IBD flair up. Maybeck said they were too busy to see us and instead suggested we go to the Emergency vet clinic, which by the way was closed for deep cleaning due to covid. I called Dr. Kehoe’s vet clinic and thankfully they made time to see my dog. He spent two days recovering getting excellent care.

I took my 3 month old lab to the vet yesterday for a new patient appointment, well attempted to. After sitting in the car with my dog for an hour we were told by the tech that came out that he would need shots, which i figured but was then told that I would not be able to go back with him. Even though this would be his first time going to a vet so I have no idea how he would react and do not feel comfortable at all sending my puppy in blindly especially when getting shots. Went in for a cough/sore throat for our Cat during COVID19 handling on April 4th 2020, they don't let owners go in with the pet due to the Pandemic. During the visit, they clipped his rear nails and tried for front, but he became difficult due to pain, discarding his collar during the episode. (This is what was told to us by their staff) This procedure was not consented to, we were not informed it would take place. We were there to address a cough/sore throat. Avoid Dr. Welton, see Dr. Fogelberg. For best results, go to Coquina Ridge Animal Hospital. We took our cat in to see Dr. Welton at Maybeck in the late evening because our cat's eye was bothering her. Unfortunately Dr. Welton gave us eye drops for allergies even though only one eye was bothering her. That did nothing to help our cat, and prolonged her suffering by a full week (how long we needed to give her eye drops). When it didn't work, we had to get the cat in the carrier and drive all the way back over just to be charge... read more

Unprofessional, irresponsible, and barbaric. This was our experience with a botched euthanization at Maybeck. I called ahead to schedule a time. They let me know that they use the back door to make things easier, and to call when we arrived. I had to ask them about payment because that part should be done in advance. I was told that once my Mother and her cat were settled in the room I could go up front and make the payment. Nice plan. Too bad nothing worked out that way. I called when we arrived, as requested. The customer service skills of Maybeck’s practice manager, Ingrid, are lacking. My family has been a client of Maybeck's clinic for 30 plus years. My family needed to let one of our longtime four legged family members cross the rainbow bridge. He was in pain and we were told they would need to call us back to schedule an appointment because their computers were down.
