Took my pet to this vet about 2weeks ago for vaccinations and routine checkup. I was greeted when we arrived and one of the receptionists came out to pet my pet. I was asked to fill out a welcome sheet and was given an estimated total of what my visit should cost. They also recommended the Flu shot, which i was not familiar with. Taken back to the exam room where the technician was pleasant enough. i was asked some questions about my pet and then the dr came in. Dr Bartlett was friendly enough and he examined my pet and expl... read more
I have been taking my animals to Columbia Animal Hospital since 2005. I have found Dr Bartlett's diagnoses and treatment to be right on target. I am given an estimate as to what I can expect to pay for my visit up front. If Dr Bartlett reccommends anything adfditional during my appointment...I ask how much that will be. I do not feel pressured to taking the service. I have declined things on occassion due to finances. I feel the staff has always be professional and kind...knowing myself as well as my pets when we arrive. I W... read more
I rescued an older Jack Russell (8 yrs. old) from an Amish owned puppy mill. 3 weeks after the rescue she had one puppy. I have taken both dogs to Columbia Animal Hospital for care. The staff is professional, courteous, and kind. Dr. Robert Bartlett is a very knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian. He was extremely thorough in his examinations and took the time to discuss the current and future needs of both dogs at great length. I highly recommend CAH to anyone who is "shopping around" for veterinary services. These f... read more
The staff are great! They are all extremely pleasant except for the doctor, Mr Robert Bartlett. He is very cold and stuck up. He always pushes for unnecessary tests and surgeries. He sends his staff to deliver bad news instead of doing it himself. It’s a shame such a good staff has to work for such a poor doctor. They’re also very expensive compared to other vets.
Terrible practice. When we first moved here, there was one excellent vet (Dr. Frey). We put up with the bad location, unprofessional staff and various other issues because we really liked him. Once he left, we should have run, not walked away immediately. I stayed a little too long and lost a beautiful Siamese because of it. If you value your pets and think your opinion matters, look elsewhere.
The staff is always helpful with any questions I have. Dr. Bartlett is always willing to help with any questions and concerns.
STEER CLEAR!!! We recently had our new puppy in to have her ears cropped the ears came out different lengths and the stitches were not even tied just left hanging loose and when we took her in to have the mistake corrected we were charged an additional $290.00,A FEE TO FIX A MISTAKE MADE BY THEM?? EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED... on top of all this after we paid the fee to fix the mistake the ears were still not stitched correctly,, hard to nicely express the amount of disgust we have towards this clinic
Changes prices from their "quoted price." They always have hidden fees. They charge for throwing away the syringes because they are "bio hazards" I am a nurse and know that disposal of bio hazards is always free in PA! Also, they do unnecessary test and procedures to get your money. Me and my 3 friends have never been so dissatisfied.
BEWARE! I am highly disappointed with this places business. The ladies at the front were not pleasant when we took our cat that was rescued from the humane league here. I informed the nurse that he had been vomiting with bloody diarrhea and they did nothing saying it was probably from the new environment. Dr. Bartlett also kept trying to sell me the stuff in the vet office as if he cared more about money. The very next day, I returned to the vet with the same issues and that's when Dr. Bartlett actually examined our cat to d... read more
