RecommendedRecently took my 10 year old dog, Aja in for an issue she was having with her right rear leg. Dr. Julie Gailius was terrific, she was extremely compassionate and listened to the problems Aja was having; she recommended a thorough action plan and a detailed cost estimate. Dr. Julie was excellent and helped Aja immensely! I highly recommend Dr. Julie and Black Mountain Veterinary Hospital and will be dealing with them in the future! Brad G. They squeezed her in for an appointment that same day, and Dr. Julie was very thorough and professional. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and very patient with our shy girl. I would highly recommend this facility!

RecommendedWe just took our puppy to Black Mountain Vet. He had an ear infection and our regular vet could not see him till Wednesday night, it’s Saturday and he was in mild discomfort. We were able to get him in to Dr. Cook right away. He also needed his nails trimmed and Jay did an amazing job! Deanna was super helpful, they were all very friendly and welcoming! The fees seemed very reasonable too!

very poor examination. Vet was afraid of our dog. we only went their because are regular vet said they could give Kennal vaccinations, would not go back

Hi David, I’m sorry you did not have a positive experience at our clinic. We do a number of things to try and ensure that we can do a complete examination, Including pre veterinary prescriptions to reduce anxiety - if we know ahead of time that it may be necessary Using fear free handling techniques if a pet is amenable to that. If there is a risk of injury to a staff member we have to take precautions, but our preference is offering prescriptions so that the pets experience is better.
