Serra VH needs to rethink how they interact and communicate with customers. With COVID restrictions preventing entering the facility, all interaction is with surly vet tech's who escort the animal in/out and do all interaction with customers. Aside from attitude, they don't seem to care about the animals with the information they share or suggest. Nor is there any regular path to actually speak to a vet. I am a new pet owner and adopted a lab puppy with a heart problem! Dr. Nat and his staff, especially Pam have been so wonderful in guiding us through care for our pet. The routine exams are well run and they have been instrumental in helping us with next steps for a complicated heart issue. They are timely, communicate well and there are no surprises with billing. Incredibly incompetent vet techs. No communication between anyone. Went in the other week to get a newly rescued kitten his routine shots (this place was a last resort since all the vets around here either aren't taking new clients or are completely booked up a month out), and the vet told us to schedule another visit for this week for another round. I love this Veterinary hospital and the staff! My dog has this autoimmune disease and they got her on a great treatment plan. They checked up on her and did great at keeping me informed. Veterinary care is costly but I don't mind as loyal my pet is being taken care of; that's exactly what Petunia is getting when she comes here. Thank you to everyone at SVH!

Our old vet opened a practice in Portola Valley. Because we loved him, we continued to go up there for many years. He retired not to long ago, and I had been dragging my feet to find another vet locally. As it would happen, our cat (Boris) had an emergency dental issue over the weekend, and needed immediate care. By chance I called Serra and after sending a picture of the cat's mouth, they fit me into their Saturday office hours. I could not thank all the staff enough for today's visit. So professional, so honest, in entire Bay Area it is literally impossible to find such an amazing experience. We brought our puppy that broke his leg 3 weeks ago to change the splinting and do an xray. We were living in hell for the last 3 weeks, starting with local vet to emergency room, to 10 hours waiting in the car for weekly splitting change at other ERs. I am overjoyed to write an overwhelmingly positive and praising review for Serra Veterinary Hospital! My dog Roxxie was not able to clean her teeth and was recommended to get a more detailed exam. Dr. Natt and his team were amazing. They were thorough, attentive, loving and caring.
