I am a veterinarian and routinely perform surgeries myself; however, for my own dog, I did not want to perform the procedure personally. I am extremely selective about whom I trust, and I wanted her spay and gastropexy done by someone whose surgical skill and judgment I trust completely. Our first visit with our two small dogs was outstanding! The appointment started right on time, and the intake process was smooth and thorough. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We really appreciated that all of our feeling options were discussed slowly and thoughtfully, with absolutely no high-pressure sales--just honest care. Our 6lbs Maltedpoo needed to get spay as she is soon to be 4 years old and experience Phantom pregnancies everytime she is in heat. I was very nervous and fearful as it is an operation. Dr.Natt was great at explaining the procedure and recovery in detail. As i brought her in the entire staff was so warm and welcoming. They took Chloe and adored her. I called them at 5:30 PM and thought I would get an answering machine but there was still someone there to talk to me. A lovely and upbeat young lady listened to me explain that our smallest cat (about 5 lbs.) had an ingrown, embedded dew claw on her right paw. I found it when I went to trim her nails. In all honesty I had neglected to cut her nails for over a month. Since we have too many adopted, four-footed children, I loose track of whose nails I have done and when. We were visiting in California with Chai, our Jack Russell, and the second day of our three month long trip, she tore her ACL on the right hind. She tore the left ACL a year ago and had very successful surgery in Europe, where we live, so we knew exactly what had happened. Imagine the panic! I visited when my cat decided to freak out and not eat for no reason. They were so consistent in picking up the phone and answering questions about the bloodwork (pricy, but I think in line with other vets?). I also called them up frantically to get prescription diet food for my cat and was able to pick up in 30 minutes. Later on, they also verified within a day from chewy.com of the prescription without another visit. Highly recommended.

My dog was very uncomfortable with what appears to be an abscess or infection. I could not get an appointment today at my usual vet, so I took my English Bulldog to Serra Vet Hospital. The staff at Serra was incredible and administered a thorough diagnosis, recommendations for care, and an antibiotic prescription, and lots of care, with no b.s. whatsoever... and a very reasonable vet bill. I came to Serra Veterinary Hospital to have TPLO surgery for my 10-year-old dog. Pam was very helpful in accommodating my tight schedule, and Dr Natt was friendly and patient in explaining the procedure. This was 8 weeks ago, and Gustav has been recovering nicely! Thanks
