Thank you Metro Vet! You are amazing. Your staff is knowledgable and polite, your vet techs and vets gentle and reassuring, and you are open on Sundays! Metro vet has great hours, a great social media presence, great special offers, and will even take care of submitting your insurance forms. I recently moved to Chicago, and Metro Vet was recommended by a neighbor - I couldn't be happier with the service and care we receive!! My pup had started vomiting around 3am, so I showed up at their door when they opened at 7am and they got me right in. We had to do some test to figure out what was causing his vomiting/bleeding, but they graciously offered to let him hang out for the day while I went to work to make sure someone was keeping a watchful eye on him. I cannot stress enough how much I love this place. I had to bring in my 21 year old cat for a visit because he got bit by something and has very sensitive skin. With his age being a factor, of course I didnt want to wait long. I called and was informed that they were booked for days, however, to come in as a walk in and they would help as soon as they could. I have been coming here for about 6 months now and so far I have had all great experiences with the hospital and doctors. Everyone is very knowledgeable and extremely nice and helpful. I had both my older dogs (age 9 and age 14) put under to get their teeth cleaned just recently and they came out great! Also, at different times, both my dogs had infections (one in the mouth and one in the liver) and the doctors gave them medicine that worked to heal their infections. I took my dog Lizzie to Metrovet because I was worried she had a UTI. It was a Sunday afternoon and I figured I would have to take her to the Emergency Vet, but luckily I remembered that Metrovet was open. I called and the receptionist was very kind, she scheduled the appointment for later that evening. The vets office was very clean, the staff extremely friendly and the vets were very knowledgeable. I'm very happy to have a new vet 2 blocks from my house with such fantastic hours. It's a very spacious office with super friendly gracious staff. The only drawback I foresee is that it seems to cater to a greater number of dogs than cats. I was the only cat in the waiting area. They have an area in the waiting room that it for us kitty parents, but I didn't realize that until I was about to leave. When we became new pet parents, we weren't sure when to take our Brutus, our rescued Boston Terrier, for his regular care. We searched yelp and decided to take a chance with MetroVet because of all the great reviews and we were not disappointed. As a professional dog trainer I have worked with many, many vets over the past 16 years. Hands down Dr. Jacobs and her staff are above and beyond the most comprehensive and compassionate I have yet to encounter. I have switched all of my dogs over to Metropolitan Vet and refer our clients there as well. I trust the doctors and staff with anything and everything that has to do with our dogs.
