We found this place when something happened that had us in desperate search for a new vet in our new neighborhood on no notice. We picked this place based on reviews and availability, but kept coming because it turned out to be a place we loved! Both docs that we have seen have been amazing. The doctors and staff at Metropolitan are courteous and professional. I first sought out their services 2 years ago during the weekend because my dog was ill. My regular vet at the time was closed for the weekend. The staff is caring and knowledgeable. My biggest compliment is they are patient and thorough. The experience for me and my pet was great. A wonderful place for your pet. I moved to Chicago a couple of years ago and any time my pooch has an ailment, I go in to their office. She has had a couple cases of giardia, an infected dewclaw and some irritation in her ears, and regardless of the issue, MVC sees us right away, treats the issue and within a day, my dog is back to normal. they've been our vet for the two years I've had my lil guy, and we are super happy. when i was a new pet parent, they were so so helpful and patient with my many questions, and worry wart tendencies! they are totally on top of the reminders for when he's due for shots, etc and their website access is convenient too. everyone there is pleasant and professional... always as happy to see them as they are to see all the animals! coming here is a no brainer :)
Metro Vet is THE best. To be fair, I got my first pet and dog last year - a puppy beagle mix - but i am confident there could not be a better vet. There are a couple of walking distance options for vets to where I am in the South Loop, including Metro Vet, as well as many others within a short drive. Took great care and caution with my baby kitten. Definitely convenient hours and compassionate vets and techs. The followed up after the first night of treating him and held on to him the following day after work. I recommend to anyone in the area.

I recently moved to Chicago, and Metro Vet was recommended by a neighbor - I couldn't be happier with the service and care we receive!! My pup had started vomiting around 3am, so I showed up at their door when they opened at 7am and they got me right in. We had to do some test to figure out what was causing his vomiting/bleeding, but they graciously offered to let him hang out for the day while I went to work to make sure someone was keeping a watchful eye on him. I cannot stress enough how much I love this place. I had to bring in my 21 year old cat for a visit because he got bit by something and has very sensitive skin. With his age being a factor, of course I didnt want to wait long. I called and was informed that they were booked for days, however, to come in as a walk in and they would help as soon as they could.
