Dr. LaFave and staff are awesome and the quality of service is sincere and the best. I recently added puppy Charlie (5 month old Yorkie mix) to the family. I'm still convinced one of Charlie's parents is a German Shepard because he's already 9 lbs. and no where near over weight. For the past 3-4 years I've entrusted the car of my cat Nemo to Dr LaFave. I would say up to this point, I was happy. However, they are over priced. I had been taking my pets here for years. I was beside myself after spending hundreds of dollars in the past few weeks, that i was denied a payment plan. The receptionist's have always been nice and tried to help. My Dog may have to have an upcoming surgery, I figured I would see my options. The Manager stated they are not offering payment plans. I felt that is not very sympathetic on his or her part.
MetroVet is wonderful! I take my adult chihuahua and golden retriever puppy here. Every experience has been great - super friendly staff, clean office, on time, great hours of operation! Plus they have been really helpful when I call in with random questions. I would and do recommend Metropolitan Vet to all the animal owners out there!
nothing but great things to say about this vet office. everyone from the reception desk to the tech and vet were nothing but kind, efficient and thorough. I got in quickly and had a 9pm Sunday appt., amazing hours. they quickly prescribed in gave my dogs the proper care and email me the records the next day after they called to follow up. I will def be using them from here on out.

My 15 1/2 year old pet/cat companion, Annie, was near the end of her life and I had spent much time preparing for the time that I would have to make the decision to have her euthanized. Without question, the best vet in Chicago. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly efficient. They do take walk-ins, but appointments are recommended so you don't have to wait. Parking is available next door for free, and they have multiple Vets working so you can usually find a time that works with your schedule. came here for a annual visit for my dog, this will be our new vet. Granted my puppy is healthy and has no major health issues, so I can not comment on their abilities as far as that is concerned, but I can say that It was easy to get an appointment. They have their own parking lot and lots of street parking, it is very clean, the staff are very friendly. Our vet seemed very straight forward, and was easy to work with. They didn't try and sell me things I didn't need, which I love! we will be back.
