I once gave this place a four star review but now that has gone down to two it's great if you're wanting a cheaper spay / neuter and shots but for anything else look for a different vet I brought my dog in here 4 times because she has been throwing up we've done blood work still sample everything they can't find what's wrong and instead of exploring more options they say well we did all we can do . We brought our cat in we found as a stray and wanted everything we can to get him to feeling better they only treated for flees ... read more

This clinic is lovely! The staff are always quite busy; despite this, they always acknowledge you and make sure you're assisted before taking a seat. The techs were all really sweet and knowledgeable throughout my dog's heart worm treatment. My only complaint is that they are quite busy, so it's very hard to get someone on the phone sometimes. But, the level of care overshadows this. They're doing great work for the community. Keep it up low cost staff!

Scheduled here for a wellness visit and was running 12 minutes behind. They informed me they would have to cancel my appointment, but would see me if the next appointment was late. After 15 minutes had passed since the next appointment time, I asked if the vet would see my dog. The front desk lady told me she would need to first make a 15 minute courtesy call to see if they still wanted the appt before giving it to me. Called this morning to get in and the receptionist told me they don't have any appointments but have walk in appointments. I needed an appointment asap for my 17 year old dog who was suffering. We make it to the clinic and was turned away stating they do not have any walk in appointments left. Mind you I just called the clinic. I was impressed with my first visit with Low Cost Vet when I brought in my fur baby- Benji. I live in Dallas and I was looking for vet clinic that doesn't charge you an arm and a leg. I was also looking to find a vet that has an array of services, such as dental. Benji's vet tech, Juan was such a pleasure! Juan truly made our visit such a great experience! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! Once we had an appointment, got the there , the appointment "disappeared from the computer system" no where to be found, even that I had a screenshot they put me on a "walk-in list" waited for 3 hrs for them to tell me "you might not be able to be seen today we will not know until maybe 4pm" for what I respond "f---k that! I had to wait in the parking lot for three hours BUT I was told by another vet my dog would need X-rays, blood drawn, etc costing us over $2,000. I came here and they were going to offer us the same thing for $375. They really helped us out! Will definitely be back.

Why I cannot get them to fill a 1800PETMEDS script for my dog's heartworm med I do not know. I called 11 days ago and was told to have PETMEDS call them to fill. I did and pharmacy did. I tried to call after hours and cannot leave a message since their VM box is full. I called pharmacy to find out it still isn't filled and that I am supposed to call vet. This will be my 3rd attempt. Not sure why the vet didn't contact me about the problem, or even let me know they haven't filled script. It makes it hard to do business with ... read more

I have been taking my 2 Jack Russell Terriors to Low Cost Pet Vet for about 3 years for basics like annual vaccines/check-ups and teeth cleaning. Their prices are reasonable. My issue is that my female, who will be 12 years old in April, quit eating her regular food. She would still eat treats, but she was acting differently. Her stomach appears to be distended.
