I brought my dog in today for anal gland expression, even though I didn’t think she needed it because there’s other reasons why dog scoot. But because my dogs health matters so much to me, I had them do the expression. Her anal glands were empty, albeit a tiny amount from the right “ hard “ gland, but nothing on the left. I have been bringing my pups to Livermore Family Pet Hospital since 1999. Throughout the years, there have been changes. Young puppies have grown old and new puppies have joined the family. Each experience with this group has given me much comfort in their care of my sweet pups. Just today, my newest pup Willow had a reaction to a vaccination. The level of compassion and quality of care my baby Joel received here is unmatched to any vet I have been to before. This is a truly humane and caring place. Dr. Allie and all of the staff made my kitty's last days with us easy and painless. The flowers and cards were totally unexpected, thank you for everything.
I am so happy to have found LFPH after moving to Livermore. My cat Newt has always had very terrible unhealthy teeth. Of all the veterinary hospitals he has received dental care from, LFPH has given him the best care by far. Maybe the prices are higher than other locations within a 20 mile radius, but the peace of mind for me is beyond worth it. Newt is always so comfortable during his visits. I used to work in veterinary medicine (at two different AAHA-accredited hospitals on the East Coast), so it’s safe to say I am pretty picky about quality of care in where I take my pets.
