Our History Upon graduation from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1964, Dr. Wayne Lutz founded Green Prairie Animal Clinic. Dr. Lutz began providing care to both small animal patients and large animal clients in the area, and it did not take long for the practice to take off. i am very grateful to Greenhaven for the special care they gave our dog, Sweetie. They truly go that extra mile to take care of their patients. Sweetie does not crate well so she spent her time recovering from surgery in the office where she could benefit from some extra loving.

The staff are wonderful and polite. I needed a new office and veterinarian when I moved to the area and Doctor Eales is fantastic with my Flemish Giant (along with the rest of the staff).
I use Greenhaven because they have vet Doctors that can do what is needed on site, instead of my having to travel a long distance, Those that work with me, take the time to explain the dogs problem, and also listen to what I have noticed.

I brought my sick chicken in because she had an impacted crop. They got me in right away and she had surgery that day and came home to rest! Love how they called and checked on her for the rest of the week!!

The staff here are absolutely amazing and take the time to explain everything. The care they have shown for my kitten in his emergency today are wonderful. I highly recommend them.
On October 11th of this year, my dogs regular vet was out of town and she needed to be seen immediately. I took her here. They got us in right away. After Dr. Kayte examined her and took x- rays, it was very apparent that my dogs condition was dire. Unfortunately, I had to make the heart breaking decision to let her go. Dr. Kayte and her staff were excellent. Words can not express the comfort and support they gave Holly and I during this very difficult time.
