I visited Green Dog Dental in Van Nuys this morning for an oral exam for my 7-year-old terrier mix, who is diabetic and in urgent need of dental cleaning under anesthesia. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, taking the time to listen to my concerns, explain his condition, and thoroughly review the treatment plan and costs. Dr. Garcia and his team of surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and staff took AMAZING care of my little girl, Layla. Layla presented with a rare oral, dental, mandibular condition- a combination of severe tooth reabsorption and complex tissue and nerve overgrowth in her mouth. We’ve been clients at Green Dog since it was solely just a mobile pet truck run by Dr. Garcia , and the way they’ve expanded over the past decade alone has been remarkable. The new full service facility on Aetna street is nothing short of incredible - it’s beautiful and spacious, and staffed with the best people around. I'm leaving a second five-star review after some big appointments for my senior dog - bloodwork, ultrasound, some x-rays and an advanced dental procedure. The care we've received for all of these appointments, between Dr Hoh, Dr Geist, and everyone at the front desk has been excellent! I appreciate how knowledgeable and thorough they are, and how sweet everyone is with my dog. She is 14 years old, so I was extra nervous about her being sedated for dental work. My cat has stomatitis which is costly to be treated. Both cat and human are stressed out. Yesterday we went to Van Nuys office to have radiograph. Dropped the cat at 8:45am, discussed the treatment with the vet via phone, agreed to the treatment plan within my budget, picked up my cat with 22 teeth less.
