The Cat Care Center of Baton Rouge began as a heart whisper early on in Dr. Lacie Lee's journey to becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Lacie has always held a special place in her heart for cats and even contemplated feline only practice in 2002 when she graduated from Louisiana State University. Dr. Lacie has spent many years as a small animal veterinarian with a specific focus on feline medicine, behavior and surgery. In August of 2017 she began to work with Cat Haven, Baton Rouge's feline only shelter, as a volunteer veterinarian.

It is a practice devoted entirely to cats, and the atmosphere is quiet, and appealing to cat behavior. The care of my cats has been top notch, with the doctors and techs explaining all procedures ahead of time, and the costs associated with them. The boarding facility is A+, and I would have no qualms about leaving my cats there for a night or an extended stay.

I have had the absolute best experiences at Cat Care; no vet has ever compared to Dr. Edwards or Dr. Lacie. When every vet was telling me to put my kitten down and refusing to even do testing; they showed me compassion. They showed Clover compassion as well. They comfortably extended his life for ten months. I will be FOREVER be grateful for everything they have done for me and for my cat. Truly the most incredible clinic and team around.

Dr. Lacie and the entire Cat Care Center family are absolutely amazing! I have been going to them since they opened up and I can honestly say I would not trust anybody more fully than them. They are even able to handle my grumpy old man, Rocco, and he seems calmer at Cat Care Center than he has anywhere else! I have used them for boarding as well, and highly recommend them for this too ( you can even watch your baby on the kitty cam). If you have a senior kitty, check out their Senior Support Group...you will learn so much. Thank you all at CCC for all you do!

I love Cat Care Center! I have been a client since March, and I have been so happy with all of my experiences here. The staff is friendly and continuously exceed my expectations. My cat Frances is “less friendly,” and the staff has never made me feel like she causes any issues, or she can’t be treated here. Dr. Lacie spends so much time with her patients and never makes you feel like she is rushed to get out of the exam room or off the phone. While Frances was undergoing tests last week, Dr. Lacie personally called me three times within a 24-hour period to discuss the results and to let me know how Frances was doing. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this clinic is. Thank you to the staff for loving our pets like we do!
