Carson Veterinary Clinic was originally established in 1982 by Dr. Jim Carson III and has proudly been serving the Acadiana area ever since. The founding principles were and still are honesty, integrity, trust and perhaps the biggest of all, customer service. We perform a wide range of advanced diagnostics and surgery as well as annual examinations, vaccines, flea, tick and heartworm prevention as well as boarding. We take pride in our work and are always willing to go above and beyond for you and your pets!

From walking in the door to walking out - first class all the way. The total package is everything I expect for my pet care. I have been a client for a very long time - the care given to my pets is unparalleled!!! I cannot say enough about these highly skilled veterinarians! I love them all!!! Dr. Jim and Dr. Frady are at the top of my list!

The entire staff is very knowledgeable and kind, explaining everything and the costs before proceeding. Dr. Carson, especially the “original” one, treats you like an old friend and takes his time as if your doggy baby is the only one there. The clinic has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making every visit a pleasant experience. The best part is that Dutch is welcomed with treats and loves giving kisses to the techs.

Wow! I have been to Carson’s twice in the last 2 weeks! 1st , Peyton, my biter, my shadow, my sweetheart strained his neck, Dr. Courville saw him and reassured me it was not his jaw that he had broken 4 years ago. Home we went with pain meds, cortisone injection and prednisone with 2 weeks of rest. He was his wonderful little self the next day and almost done with meds. We love Carson Animal Hospital! They always take great care of our puppy! When cookie had to stay for a couple days they answered all questions and kept me calm during the whole event. I would recommend them 100000 times over!

On August 30, 2023 was one of the hardest days of my life, having to put my fur baby down. I can’t say enough about Carson’s Veterinary Hospital! From the front desk to the staff in the back to the doctors and the helpers, these individuals are hands down number one in my books. They did everything possible to help make this transition a peaceful one. You people will always hold a special place in my heart, thank you a million times!!!
